I have to carry a lot of stuff for work, and I need alot of pockets.

Wear: Even after repeated washing it still shows many streaks of a reddish-hue juice that continuously permeates out of it.

The pockets are large enough to house my PDA, stethoscope, pens, etc.

I've had my eye on this for quite some time, ordered it on Christmas day and it arrived six days later (was very impressed with the speed of delivery).

The vest is made of heavy canvas and cotton, still pretty good for the winter, don't know how I'll feel like after wearing it in the summer. The slits in the back and sides allow for great ventilation, especially after wearing it the whole day and working.

Pockets are plentiful; I had a previous vest that only had two pockets, and the reason why I bought this was because I wanted something that could hold all my "stuff": iPhone, Flip HD camera (with charger), digital camera, and voice recorder. Needless to say I found ample enough space to hold them all and then some

As one of the reviewers mentioned, it does attract ALOT of lint, but that's more semantics than anything else. Highly recommended!

I bought this and was reasonably satisfied with it. It's pretty warm so it's not ideal for the hot seasons, but serves as an extra layer in the cold seasons. lint sticks to this thing like cat hair and it's hard to remove even by washing. but if these things don't bother you then go ahead and get it.

It was unclear whether the sizing was for women or men. I chose medium but I guess it's men's sizing because the vest is huge. I'm a size Large or Xlarge in women's sizing. I think even a small would have been big on me. It's hard to find this type of item for women.Photo Journalist's Vest

Although most of the reviews for this vest were positive, a couple concerned me. As it is one of the lower price vests, I wondered if I would like it.
It was shipped very quickly, faster than the estimated shipping time.
It fits great, and the waist straps make it very comfortable. I normally wear large, and this is roomy without being too loose. I'm always concerned about Chinese products, but this seems to be made very well. All the seams are properly sewn and the zipper is well aligned.
Lots of pockets and the velcro is really strong - should last a long time.
In all I consider this an excellent buy and recommend it.

Now let me preface this by saying, I've been using this vest for several months now and honestly I don't HATE it... but it's seriously not my favorite. Because of this I am going to start with the cons.

    CONS:
-The openings on front pocket are too small for most lenses, save for my 70-300 f/4-5.6 which I don't hardly use anyway... (super crappy lens) (Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO-M "Motorized" DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens with Built-in Motor Drive for Nikon SLR Cameras Including D40, D40X, & D60 except mine is an SA mount for my SD14)
-I really wish there were more pockets for filters, on any given shoot I may take between four and six filters plus adapter rings with me
-The long pocket (the one with the zipper on the left breast) isn't big enough to hold anything useful short of cleaning brushes/fluid and cloths
-The vest does NOT breath well (it's made of nylon), and becomes itchy if you get a bit sweaty... even when you wear it over a shirt! making the vest out of cotton and just using waterproof lint free nylon pocket liners would have been a better option...

    PROS:
-It works perfectly with my Cotton Carrier! "Cotton Carrier" Complete Camera System for Regular Cameras
-The zippers are well made and haven't derailed yet.
-The mesh ID holder is a nice touch (though I would have preferred clear plastic)
-The rings on the right breast are handy for ID badges, keys or anything on a carabiner...
-The mesh on the back sort of helps with some ventilation.

I was especially impressed with the many pockets and their versatility. I am not a photo journalist, however, when
I go out of the house, I am carrying a nummber of items: Eye glasses, pen or pencil, small pad of paper, Iphone,
presciption medicine, digital camera and chargers, so it is a plus for me. It will work out very well in the fall
and also helps when walking or hiking. Plenty of pocket space for small item snacks like, gum, crackers, life savers. Light in weight and the mesh backing keeps me cool in the warmer weather. I am delightfully satisfied with
the price I paid for vest. The vest is a perfect medium man's fit. You scored big, Amazon!

    Thank you - Jeff Corman

This is a good product, solid but way way too large.
I ware size M (european) usually. I bought size M of this product but this seems to be size XL (european). I bought several product of my size. Some of them fit to me some not (fit too large) but this is by far the largest one :(.
So, european buyers ... take care !

Came in good time. Tried it on, size was right.
Other than that, a complete disaster.

    Material: thinner than before.
Looks: it must have been designed and cut by Stevie Wonder.

Wear: Even after repeated washing it still shows many streaks of a reddish-hue juice that continuously permeates out of it. Never had this problem with any garment before...
Pockets: badly designed compared with the classic look. Each pocket is much smaller, which makes more than half of them unusable (and I have small hands). To make things worse, pockets have been doubled with an additional pocket layer, in a futile attempt to increase capacity, with the result that now you never know where your hand is. It's even more difficult to put your hand inside no matter what pocket you choose.
Right side lower water-tight pocket zippered, as usual, but smaller. Try fitting your passport in it now ! Even if you make it, you need to hire a child to get it out. Same with the upper left zippered chest pocket. You might get your cell phone in ok. Try getting it out!

Now let's go to the long, deep, inside pockets. They are now short and fat, and not awful good for anything. They are positioned much higher now than normal vests'. Put something inside and you look in your vacation pictures like you grew boobs! Velcro makes sure you'll never be able to retrieve your goods without a good fight. Have pair of sharp scissors or your camping knife available.
Back lower pockets: another cruel joke. The inside is zippered, and about a quarter of the size than if you buy the real thing, for about ten dollars more. Try putting the maps or newspaper inside.
