Great workout video. It targets the entire body, it is great for surfing and all around athletes. Just a bousse ball (the 2 foot workout balls) is needed and a flat space. Great to do before or after work and can be inforporated to a full body workout at the gym. The video does require previous strength training and upper boady strenght. Its a full circuit video so about 12 items 3 times through. These all target multiple areas at a time too. They used real pro surfers so its not a gimic. Its not a begginers workout by any standards maybe a bit hard for some of those in the intermediate area and good for those who are advanced. Each excersise is shown with surf clips too, all high quality fottage and well done. Overall great and worht the cash if you are into surfing and need something for those flat days and need to keep up your strngth and stoke; also great for those all around athletes too.

It is a great workout if you are looking for core strength. It should be added into a workout routine that has cardio and other types of strength training for your legs, arms and back. It is a TOUGH workout, though. Not for the beginner who is looking to get into physical exercise. I would recommend the P90x DVDs for them. The draw backs of the DVD are that he does not walk you through every rep so I don't want to work out with the DVD. I watched it more to write down his routine and see him do the moves. If they redid the DVD I would like it structured so it has better music (too tranquil for me), would do every rep with me, have other people doing it with each one doing a modified movement for those who can not do the full movement or who don't have a fitness ball, and have a printable worksheet for the routine. Then this would have gotten possibly 5 stars but definitely a solid 4. I would be more than happy to help collaborate with the creators on this one; I used to do things like this in the past.

This is a nice video for surfers, it tells you many ways to workout your body, although you will need more rutines to increase your strength, i'm fan of Taylor, this dvd would help you to surf better.

The workout itself is alright, but some of the moves are a little precarious and the video doesn't make you want to watch it more than once. Some of the rotate and hang out your leg moves seemed too risky for my lower back. For the most part all of the exercises they demonstrate are the same ones that were on the pamphlet that came with my ball from Target, except for the risky back ones. I'm sure I could have gotten the same demos from youtube and put the $30 towards more surf gear. Oh well, live and learn. I was just trying to find something to keep me going while the surf has been flat, but I'm pretty sure I'd be better off just going out and paddling around in the mush, it's at least more fun than this video. That said, I like using the ball to stretch on and do some of the basic moves on like the pike and pushups, and it was under $10 from Target.
