Review

Occasionally a book comes along that is singular in its achievement of creating possibilities. This must-read book does that, by detailing to real estate professionals how they will earn greater financial, economic, and business rewards, by giving the real estate-buying consumers what they've wanted for years: choices on how to pay, without fumbling with discounters. --Allen F. Hainge, founder, Allen F. Hainge CyberStars

For consumers who no longer know who or what to believe, and for real estate professionals who are defending their commissions against the government, consumer groups, and third-parties that want to change the industry while making consumers take on more work and liability, Ripping the Roof Off Real Estate spotlights the real estate issues that affect each of us. --Blanche Evans, editor, Realty Times, author, Bubbles, Booms, and Busts: Make Money in Any Real Estate Market

Mollie knows the real estate business point-blank. By sheer focus on consulting with clients rather than selling to clients, she operates at the highest fiduciary level consulting, advising, negotiating, and troubleshooting. --Gary Keller, best-selling author, The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and The Millionaire Real Estate Investor

You may not want to hear it, but Mollie tells it like it is. No rose colored glasses or "pie in the sky"; just common sense with a dash of a pretty clear vision of the future of the real estate profession. She hits the nail on the head with her thoughts and opinions of what the future holds for real estate salespeople that don't keep up with what's happening in our business.

I could go on.........just get the book. You won't be sorry. Welcome to the new mind set of real estate sales.

This review is from: Ripping the Roof Off Real Estate: How a Multi-Billion-Dollar Industry Came to Have an Identity Crisis (Paperback)
Ripping the Roof Off Real Estate: How a Multi-Billion-Dollar Industry Came to Have an Identity Crisis is an important, insightful piece of work that in time may influence buyers of real estate services to pay Realtors® the same way other professionals are paid, by the hour. Today's method of payment does NOT pay a real estate professional based on the time he/she spends delivering their services. The author argues Realtors® should be paid by the hour like a lawyer or accountant. Clients should bear more of the risk; pay as you go rather than pay big if a deal is consummated, or pay nothing if it's not, regardless of how many hours the Realtor® spends. Very few (rarely) other professionals work on this type of contingent basis.

As a licensed real estate broker, I found this book to be both informative and enlightening. We do have a crisis in this industry and the author's approach is very positive and refreshing. It has caused me to reconsider the way I serve my clients.
