Patricia Scanlan was born in Dublin, where she still lives. She worked as a librarian and now has a career as a full-time writer. "Two for Joy" follows "Francesca's Party" as her second novel to be published by St. Martin's Press.

I have read all of Patricia Scanlan's books to date and have enjoyed all of them EXCEPT for Ripples. It was a complete waste of my money and l feel cheated. I read the whole book in less than 45 minutes and got absolutely zero satisfaction! I've given it a 'one star' only because there wasn't a 'no star' facility. Sorry Patricia, but you get three boo's from me for that piece of rubbish.

these short stories are for improving your reading skills and therefore not intended for people who read a lot,I think the open door series is a great idea.
