Dr. Scott Hahn (Author)

Book Description

August 13, 1997
Dr. Scott Hahn, renowned Catholic theologian, has a gift for making Scripture come alive and a passion for putting it within everyone's reach. This four-tape presentation is the third and last segment in his "Introduction to Scripture" Series. The first segment covered THE BOOK OF GENESIS; the second, THE BOOK OF EXODUS. Now Dr. Hahn completes his Old Testament overview by exploring THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY through THE BOOK OF DANIEL. Regarding the relationship between the Old and New Testaments, the documents of the Second Vatican Council state, "God, the Inspirer and Author of both Testaments, wisely arranged that the New Testament be hidden in the Old and the Old be made manifest in the New." In these remarkable series, Dr. Hahn brings to light for us what is hidden so that what is made manifest will be infinitely more profound.

About the Author

Like John Henry Newman, Scott Hahn was self-driven to find the Truth. And, he was dedicated to following the truth whereever it lead him--even if it lead him to Rome and would cost him dearly. He eventually lost his job, his position in the Evangelical Society, many of his friends and his vocation as a minister. But, he lost less than what he gained -- the full truth of the Gospel. That is when the former persecutor became a great champion and defender of the Faith.
