Rise from Grey, April 6, 2010
This review is from: Rise from Grey (Audio CD)
A week or two ago a good friend of mine recommended me to check out the Italian electro-pop trio Blume (Enrico Fillisetti, Ivan Savino, and Daniele De Fabritiis). I was immediately addicted after I went to the band's Myspace page and listened to their songs. The first thing that came to my mind was De/Vision and Depeche Mode ala "Precious". Rise from Grey is the band's debut album on A Different Drum records. The album is addictive with its infectious pop hooks, crisp synth melodies, gentle, pulsating rhythms and Enrico's seductive vocals. It would be difficult to not hear Dave Gahan or Stefan Keth in Enrico's rich, warm vocals. I love all of the songs on the album. There is not one song that I did not like. Rise from Grey is an excellent debut album from Blume. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out this talented band for fans of Depeche Mode and De/Vision.
