Book Description

Rise of the SmartPower Class: navigating the new digital, leaderful era is timely look at how behavior and mindset are converging with technology to create a new dynamic and new class worldwide, to which the old school is entirely oblivious, at present. Providing navigation for a new era , author and socio-economic digitalist Lauren deLisa Coleman, examines how today’s attitude of self-competency and self-determination is not only enhanced and played out across tech platforms but is giving rise to new cultural dynamics and a redefinition of hierarchy which will need to be understood and embraced both personally and professionally in order to thrive in our new age. Includes quotes from notables including rap legend Chuck D of Public Enemy and the executive producer of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.” Please note that all proceeds of this book will be donated to RaiseHopeforCongo.org which is tirelessly bringing awareness to the use of conflict minerals used in each and every one of our mobile phones. They are assisted in their efforts by such notables as Angelina Jolie, Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright. This book would be remiss if it did not assist with such efforts given the fact that Rise of the SmartPower Class touts and encourages digital media usage, a majority of which takes place over mobile phone platforms today. It is specifically priced to encourage ability to purchase, no matter what your income level.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Read for Fast Changing Times April 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Lauren deLisa Coleman debuts a very thought-provoking and well-written book, Rise of the SmartPower Class. Ms. Coleman keeps the book interesting by inserting current events throughout the chapters to support her points. This book is an eye-opener, and very enjoyable. It bridges the slightly (or not so slightly) older folks to this SmartPower Class. This is a notable book one will ponder even long after reading it!

More About the Author

Said to be the Anti-Oprah, in terms of recognizing that in the new "leaderful" era the best approach is to provide maximum perspective and digi-socio support rather than try and dominate behavior as the gurus of old, Coleman is well-positioned as an information source and power player in the socio-mobile space. She also contributes thought-pieces to such outlets as NewsweekDailyBeast and cnbc.com
