Got to give the new cartoons a chance.,

It's obvious they are going back to an almost Adam West version of Batman, but the primise is very promising, Batman is teamed with a new hero from the DC universe to defeat villians, works for me. The Animation is amazingly smooth and very detailed, albeit obviously made in the old fasioned comic book stylings of the 1960s, still this is a show meant for children thereby adults need not get so uptight because it's not "The Dark Knight" version of Batman. From what I've seen it's a perfectly harmless and fun cartoon that children should enjoy, with adult supervision of course (and adults you can enjoy the cornyness of the detail, but still enjoy the benifit of something that isn't japanese based so that you can understand it a bit better).

It's not Batman: The Animated Season, but try it out...,

Look, my idealized version of Batman - across all mediums - is Batman: The Animated Series (Batman - The Complete Animated Series). When I think of Batman, it's Kevin Conroy's voice I hear in my head. This new series is NOT that Batman. My least favorite version of Batman is the old campy Adam West TV show, followed by Super Friends. Those were some crap. This cartoon series is like you smashed the three previous versions together, threw in some Justice League Unlimited (Justice League Unlimited, Seasons 1-2 (DC Comics Classic Collection)), and ended up with something weird but special. Batman in The Brave and the Bold is more teacher and leader than dark knight. Yes, it's the dude from Office Space (Office Space (Special Edition with Flair!) [Blu-ray]) doing the voice (it grows on you though...it's not Kevin Conroy, but it's kinda perfect for the role). Yes, there are some corny as heck lines (especially in the Aquaman episodes), but you're laughing WITH the lines, not at them.
Look, I love the B:TAS and the other, tougher versions of Batman. Am I going to buy the Superman/Batman movie (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (Two-Disc Special Edition)) with Conroy and the others? Oh yes. Am I looking forward to the same actors in the Batman: Arkham Asylum (Batman: Arkham Asylum Collector's Edition) video game? You bet. If you're looking to recapture B:TAS, stick with those. Heck, that's plenty of awesome to keep you busy. But if you're looking for something new in the Batman universe - and not just new for the sake of being different, but something unique and interesting and memorable, but still honoring it's predecessors - try this show out. I feel the same about this as I did when I first read Batman: Snow (Batman: Snow) or Batman: Year 100 (Batman: Year 100). They're memorable and strange and make me smile. None of them are what I want Batman to ALWAYS be, but that doesn't mean I can't like them ALSO. Try an episode, see what you think. I recommend the one with The Atom and Aquaman as Batman's sidekicks (Journey to the Center of the Bat!). It's a good test for whether you'll like the sense of humor in this show, and it's not like it needs to be watched in any kind of order (except for the two-parter). If you don't like it... well, Arkham Asylum is only a few weeks away.

Batman: Brave and the Bold. I gave the show one star because there isnt a no stars button. I have watched 3 of the shows now and i cant say i am impressed. The series is not keeping up the Batman look and feel of the last few series.
BBB, has the same look and feel as the old 60's kids show superfriends. It is inane and childish. Batman has a running mental commentary in every show. Not to mention that they are all calling each other "Old Chum". The drawing is flat, like a cheap old comic book too. I am not sure what they were trying for here but it is not worth watching.
