YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT, PROMISE,

Let me first give you a little background about my history of listening to OAR. First, I got The Wanderer to get Crazy Game of Poker on CD. Obviously, most people who hear of OAR hear of Crazy Game of Poker. Next, I liked that CD so much that I bought Souls Aflame. That was another great CD.AND NOW--- OAR follows up those 2 releases with Risen, an incredible mix of new and old tunes. OAR brings back and remakes songs like Hey Girl, Delicate Few, Untitled, Night Shift, About Mr. Brown, and Here's to You. Then, they write some new songs like Hold On True, If She Only Knew, She Gone, King of the Thing, and Someone in the Road. All the old songs are much bolder and have some revised and even more catchy melodies. Hey Girl and About Mr. Brown have never sounded better. The new songs fit the same mold as some of OAR's older tracks. My personal favorite track on this CD is If She Only Knew. It's certainly the hardest OAR track that I've heard, but it's got a catchy, almost-reggae-like-but-alternative feel. If your OAR listening experience has been anything like mine, this CD will make a great addition to your collection.

Different, but not disappointing. The band matures AND rocks,

Of A Revolution developed a big cult following on college campuses with their awesome first two CDs, The Wanderer and Souls Aflame. Risen contains some songs updated songs from those albums, but it can also stand on its own as a great bunch of music. The band really grows up here on this CD with much more diverse, melodic songs. Marc in particular takes his songwriting and singing up to another level, but nooone is carried by the others. Delicate Few, If Only She Knew, the new version of Hey Girl, She Gone are all incredible, and the disc is incredibly consistent in this age of singles/filler albums. Forget the DMB comparisons, Risen proves once and for all that Of A Revolution can stand on their own as a great band. Their albums are incredible and their live shows are comparable to anyone's, so get this album today to join in on the fun!

UNDERRATED,

I first heard of OAR from my cousin. OAR is one of the most underrated bands. Their music is already better than most of the music we hear on the radio today, and these guys are just getting started. I suggest that u buy this cd and their older ones. OAR is going to be the next Dave Matthews Band one day, and i will guarantee that. Marc's lyrics are so pure and positive, and listening to this band puts you in such a good, positive mood. Support OAR and buy this cd. Its their best yet and you wont regret it.
