I bought these to lift my family room sofa, which was too low for comfort. It is a large sofa, and supports multiple large people when in use. We haven't heard a crack or squeak from these blocks, very impressive for the weight that is piled on them. Highly recommended.

I bought those horrid black plastic funnel shaped risers a couple of years ago. Almost broke my arms more than once trying to install them only to have them tip over while I was attempting to put on another one..

Not so with these babies.

Do what I did though, save your back, go get your Car Jack and use that to lift the bed corners one at a time and then place these under the bed feet.

I had them all in in under 15 minutes this way.. no wobbling.. no movement...

GREAT PRODUCT!

You won't be disappointed!

I ordered two sets of these a few weeks ago -- the seller was CONTAINERS & MORE, INC and the price was $18.29.
For starters, a few of the corner pieces were broken off in the box. Because I desperately needed the risers(company was coming), I pulled out my Gorilla Wood Glue and glued the corners back on.
I guess the other corner pieces that were still on got jealous because as soon as I started stacking the risers, more corners started to fall off.
When we placed the bed on the risers, a few of them actually started cracking (Insert more Gorilla Wood Glue here.)
The tops of the risers were too unstable -- the corners can't support the weight of the bed.
We ended up flipping the risers over and used the Magic Sliders Gripper Pads to discourage slipping Magic Sliders 77414 Round Self Stick Gripper Pad 1", 16-Pack.

*Note - I purchased a set similar to these from ComfortHouse.com a few years ago. [...]
They cost is a bit higher but the quality is much better - it looks as though the riser was made by carving a solid piece of wood.

Seriously... just save yourself the trouble. I just pulled these out of the box and only 1 of 4 lifters is intact. As others mentioned, these are not a solid pieces of wood: the tabs on top are just tacked on. I say "tacked", and I mean it... it's just 2 flimsy paperclip-thickness tacks that they stapled through the top of each tab. The one lifter I said was intact? Well, I just pulled with my bare little hands on the tabs and popped them right out one after the other. Thank goodness I wasn't depending on this thing to actually *hold my bed up and keep me stable while sleeping* or anything. And to clarify the construction of the rest of the base, these lifters are just three 2x4s that have been glued together and stained. Make your own set for about $3 and it will do a much better job. I'm an architect, so I know structures. Trust me... they're trash.

I have been using this product over a year now. I don't have any problem with stability. Besides they look better than plastic lifters. It just takes two people to place a bed proprly on the four pieces of wood.

These arrived just a few hours before a big party I had at my house. I got them to lift my couch up and they work perfectly! They also give the couch a more expensive look. They are different than pictured. The finish is honey oak and they are square blocks, but they're more simple looking than advertised. That didn't bother me at all because they look great and again, work perfectly! I would highly recommend.

We have a queen bed that gets a lot of use by all of the humans and canines in our house. It's a big, heavy thing and we're tall people, so awhile ago I thought it'd be great to make the bed taller, too.

I ordered a set of black plastic risers from a catalog, that were said to raise the bed 3", and provide very stable footing. They did, for all of five minutes! Up jumped our Lab, and boom-every single leg punched right through the plastic. Nice.

Plan B was to search Amazon and see if they had anything to offer, and we saw these. Should have come here first! I don't understand other writers' unhappiness with them, as our Honey Oak Risers arrived exactly as pictured; no cracks, no smell, solidly made and with a lovely finish. Perhaps they could exchange them?

In any case, we love these and they are just PERFECT. Thanks, Amazon!

Don't be fooled by the dimensions of these bedrisers. They do not raise your bed 4 inches as noted in the very UNDETAILED detail of the product. The box claims they raise the bed 3.5 inches. BUT,when the bed posts are inserted into the holes, the bed is only raised 2 3/4 inches. Which makes a big difference if you are making or buying a bedskirt. and, no where in the product description does it confirm that you are in fact receiving 4 risers. I called Amazon prior to ordering and was unable to receive ANY detail such as the info above. Maybe the plastic risers would have been truer to their claims.
