My Thoughts:
I have been a huge fan of the Stargate franchise since the first movie and the following series as it appeared on SHOWTIME. As the SG-1 series progressed certain story arcs began to appear explaining ancient beings that seeded civilization within our galaxy. This storyline really peeked my interest and I looked forward with eager anticipation to new episodes that expanded on the storyline. When Stargate Atlantis was announced and information leaked that the new series was going to be built around the Ancient story arc I was excited to say the least.
Atlantis had gone on to entertain me for four more years until its cancellation. With promises of Atlantis movies that never became reality and the announced series that was to further explain how the Ancients spread throughout the galaxy that turned out to be a horrible soup opera rip-off of Batlle Star: Galactica, I became very disappointed on where the franchise was headed. But given the Atlantis series lasted Five seasons and SG-1 lasted ten seasons I guess I can hold out by watching old episodes until MGM gets the franchise back on track.
