5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous stage!
We got this stage for my 4 yr old son's bday party. He and his 6 yr old brother loved it from the start. They were putting on shows nightly. The wireless microphone and speaker are great. You have to keep the two a distance apart to avoid feedback sounds, but that's no problem once you find the right spot for the speaker. (There is a pocket to put it in on the stage, but...

1.0 out of 5 stars It caught on fire!
When my three year old daughter received this for her birthday, she was very excited to play with it. When my sister went to put batteries in the speaker, the thing started sparking and smoking. She threw it into the kitchen sink where it then created a small fire. Thank god my daughter wasn't holding this thing or that some other child wasn't playing with it. They...

They could have gotten third degree burns. Be aware of this product. It looks great from the outside however seems very shodily put together.

(There is a pocket to put it in on the stage, but you can place it anywhere in the room.) One thing to be careful of, the place that you stand on is just plactic material and it slides around. We realized this at the party when it kept getting wrinkled. Probably some tape on the ground would help that problem. Also, the plastic rods used to assemble the stage snapped in a couple of spots when my kids were getting a little "stage-happy." We taped it together and it was fine. It's plastic after all. It's great fun and super for a party! We used a CD player and a MP3 player to pipe in background music, but honestly, the kids liked just singing on their own!

This tent fit the bill for my nieces who are always putting on shows. The frame went up easily. It took a little doing to put the tent on correctly but after I figured it out, it was fine. The directions only being pictures did not help much. Other than that it all worked as it said except that the speaker, which goes in the pocket is difficult to get to once it's in the pocket. So there's really no adjusting the volume after it's in. That's OK it you connect an iPod to it and then can control the volume on the iPod. The wireless mike was the problem. If it was loud enough to be heard through the speaker, it had horrible feedback. I'm not sure if that will be a problem for my nieces. They usually dance. I'll find out later if they have figured out a way to use the mike. I'd still buy it again but I'd caution anyone who really counted on the mike aspect.

When I first pulled this stage out of the box, I thought it might be a little flimsy. During a hurried set up, the poles kept coming apart. Having said that, the printed cover fits perfectly over the frame and everything works together to make a stable play area with the great "backstage" feature that kids love! If you take your time, the poles will NOT come apart during set up - there is the added convenience that they are strung together for you with srong elastic cord, so you don't have to match "A" to "B" and "Q" to "Z" etc. for hours! Total set up time very minimal! Also, the completed product, while nice and large, is very lightweight and can be picked up and moved easily. I am satisfied with the product for the money. Would not want to pay more for a heavier, stronger structure because this one serves the kids very nicely! The microphone, however, is a piece of junk, but that's okay because I am so happy with the stage. Fast shipping, and, as always, exemplary service from Amazon! Buy confidently!

This was bigger than it looked but nicer than the picture too. My son loves the stage and with the backstage area behind the curtain, he can put on quite a production. The mic and speaker work great and are easy to connect to a bigger stereo. It is fairly easy to build and disassemble for storage. It is sturdy when up and looks like the material will last for awhile. This was worth way more than it cost and has already given us many hours of enjoyment. I was very happy with my purchase and would definately buy from the company again.

We bought this toy stage for our grandson. It was an easy set up. Very colorful. It comes with a microphone and speaker insert. It is with the top banner about 5 feet tall and the width at 4 feet. It has curtains for the star performer and a dressing room. It was what he wanted and needed for his performances.
