Rising Storm,
By Sis (MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
This is my favorite of the Warriors books, and they're all really, really good. I like how you can really feel as if you're there with Fireheart as he struggles with his new duties as deputy. I love the character of Cloudpaw, and how he has a whole different personality than the other characters in the book- he's more laid back and not as noble. I really wasn't expecting the Fireheart/Sandstorm relastionship, but it was a great thing to put into the series, as you'll see in the books to come.
For a summary of the book- Fireheart, now Clan deputy, must figure out how to juggle his new duties and still have time to worry about the still-lurking Tigerclaw in the forest, along with the fact that the weather in the forest is heating up, and his wayward apprentice isn't proving to the Clan that kittypets really can be warrriors. Along with that, his leader is a shell of her former self, and it's up to FIreheart to hide her weakened state to the Clan. The deaths in the book are handled well, you still feel sad but not to the point when you just don't want to read it because it's deppressing. I loved the cliffhanger ending, and was glad that I had bought the 5th book at the same time so I could read it right away!

Warriors: Book Four Rising Storm,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
I have now read all the books that have come out in this series so far, and I have to say "Fire and Ice" is my favorite. In the fourth book, Fireheart is now the clan deputy, and his apprentice, Cloudpaw, has seriously been breaking the warrior code. Also, Bluestar, the clan leader, is still very upset about Tigerclaw. So upset, she doesn't care about her clan. Of course, Tigerclaw does return, first striking a Thunderclan patrol with his rogue cats, killing a warrior, and again towards the end in a position of power. Graystripe, Fireheart's friend, has a small part in this book and meets Firheart at the side of the river. Ravenpaw also comes in, helping Fireheart and Sandstorm escape from Twoleg dogs and find a lost apprentice. Fireheart is getting used to his new position, but then a fire starts and the coming rain isn't enough to stop the fire or save a few clan members, who were trapped in the camp. This makes Bluestar even angrier with Starclan, and she refuses to go to the Gathering. Fireheart must go in her place, and he's in for a surprise when he's sees the new leader of another Clan. I can't wait for book five!

A book you will seriously not want to miss, even for dinner,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
This has got to be the best yet in the warrior's series. There is so much action, and so many plots, your head will be delightfully swimming!First off, Fireheart has some major new responsibilities, what with a new apprentice, being Tigerclaw's replacement, and Bluestar not being herself. Ravenpaw is one of my favorite characters, and he plays a larger role in Rising Storm. I sorely miss Graystripe, but you often forget he even exists with all the action. Cinderpelt begins to have doubts, and she is confused for a good section of this book. At the ThunderClan camp, there is a terrible disaster, and RiverClan plays a large role. I've barely told anything about this book, although it may not seem like it. The whole book is rich in characters, plots, and sub-plots. Even if I have told too much, you won't be missing out on any of the twists, turns, and action. Just try to put this book down! It will be hard!

The best book on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
Right when I read the prologue of the first book, I instantly fell in love. I have read the whole series, and each book just keeps getting better and better. They're better than Harry Potter, and any other book you can think of. Most people think it is stupid because they're talking cats! Take my friend for example. She made fun of me because i love the books, but when she started them she became just as obsessed as i am ( well, i don't think anybody can love the books as much as i do ). You have to read this book. you will love it. Almost every thing happens in this book. but read the first 3 before you start, or you won't understand it and you won't know most of the things they talk about.

Warriors: RIsing Storm,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
This is my absolute favorite Warriors book, and I've read them all. In tis addition of Warriors, Bluestar is still severly shocked and learning about Tigerclaw's treachery, and it is up to Fireheart to protect ThunderClan.
I loved this book for the territfic characaters, the excellent plot and the cliffhanger ending. (A word of advice for readers: If you get Rising Storm, get A Dangerous Path, too, otherwise you'll be wondering and wondering what happens next.) READ RISING STORM!!

Can fire save the Thunderclan or destroy it?,
By Tigerclaw (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
After Thunderclan's former deputy, Tigerclaw's banishment after he ambushed Bluestar with several rogue cats, outcasts of the Shadowclan, Fireheart is worried. Without the support of his best friend, Graystripe, after he had joined with the Riverclan to be with his kits, Fireheart doesn't know who to turn to. Bluestar is out of her wits, raving about how she couldn't trust Starclan and the warriors' ancestors anymore, which leaves Fireheart to pull the broken clan together. Complications occur when Cloudpaw mysteriously disappears. Along with his new female friend, Sandstorm (is it love?), Fireheart sets off to find his apprentice and stumbles upon Ravenpaw again. It turns out that the twolegs have taken his sister's kit, but dogs are gaurding the house. Eventually, the three cats rescue Cloudpaw, only to be chased down by dogs. Luckily, the escape and return to the camp. Then, a peculiar scent wafts into the air. Fire spreads into the woods, quicker than lightning. The Thunderclan flees blindly into the Riverclan territory for sanctuary, but not without losing two elders and their beloved medicine cat, Yellowfang. After that, Bluestar is totally devastated and says that Starclan betrayed the Thunderclan. Now, for the first time, she refuses to go to the Gathering, leaving Fireheart to take charge. They arrive at the fourtrees, where the clans meet, only to find a bitter surprise. Tigerclaw is now Tigerstar and the leader of the Shadowclan cats. You know what that means! Readers will be caught up in the riveting suspense of this book, refusing to let go until the very last page (there is a cliffhanger).

The Best Warriors Book Yet!!!!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
This is definately the best Warriors book yet. This time, Tigerclaw is banished (finally) from ThunderClan, but FIreheart knows that he's out there somewhere, waiting to strike. But that isn't the new deputy's only problem. Bluestar isn't as strong as she used to be, and Fireheart has to hide her weakness from ThunderClan. On top of all of that, Fireheart has to deal with a disobediant Cloudpaw, and learns from Cinderpelt that Sandstorm might like him a little more than Fireheart thought she did...
Plus, the forest is burning up from heat, and its only a matter of time until there's a fire!

Rising Storm,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
This is definatley one of the best Warriors books. As the title suggests, Fireheart, as the Clan deputy, has to pull ThunderClan through the threat of a forest fire. He also has to train his new appretice, his nephew Cloudpaw. The book has no boring parts, and will keep you hooked on it from the minute you start, to the last page. There are some new things introduced into the book that weren't in the past ones, including the possibility of a new romance!
I would suggest to read the other Warrior books( Into the Wild; Fire and Ice; Forest of Secrets) before this one though, or you may get confused. Good job Erin Hunter!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
Fireheart is back, for the most action packed book I have ever read, and I have read a lot of books! First off, Fireheart is having trouble as the deputy. Whitestorm plays a larger part in the books as he advises Fireheart on patrols and stuff.(Yay!) Mousefur and the queens are also playing larger parts,(Yay!), and Ravenpaw is making a comeback. (Yay once more!)Bluestar is severely depressed as her once loyal, former deputy, Tigerclaw, betrays ThunderClan. Fireheart is getting very worried about the leader. He continues to get dreams from Spottedleaf, and none of them look too good. As for the prophecy in the first book, 'Fire alone shall save our clan', isn't it obvious what fire StarClan is talking about? Of course, that was obvious from the start, but Erin Hunter could surprise us all. The danger in this story is the continued hostility from WindClan and ShadowClan, plus a frightening natural disaster. Cinderpaw and Yellowfang help Fireheart with some emotional issues(think the unexpected friendship with Sandstorm and the feeling of loss Fireheart feels for Spottedleaf). The action, as I said before, is unbelievably good. This is only her fourth book, but Erin Hunter is showing some amzing writing potential! THe plot is refreshing, original, and just a touch borrowed to create a familiar yet culturally different life in the cat clans. The writing style is getting better every sentence, every book. I have nothing to complain, although it's hard to picture ThunderClan's ravine that they live on. This is an awesome book, don't miss it for the world. A downside: This is the first book where Graystripe isn't in a major role. It's so sad when Fireheart suspects his friend of wanting to return, but he can't, because Crookedstar wont' let him. READ THIS BOOK FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review/spoiler,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rising Storm (Warriors, Book 4) (Hardcover)
Great! Fireheart has responsibilities of deputy now Tigerclaw was chased out. Yet danger still lurks in the forest with Tigerclaw and Brokentail's fellow rogues. But Cloudpaw is mysteriously getting fatter and when Fireheart learns he was going to Two-Leg place for food, Cloudpaw is kidnapped! Fireheart goes alone to find Ravenpaw and talk to him. Ravenpaw tells him that Cloudpaw was taken as a kittypet to the two-legs. They rescue Cloudpaw. Later, Fireheart realizes a fire broke out in his camp. Many escaped, but still cats died. Halftail had breathed in too much smoke. Yellowfang tried to save Patchpelt. But he died as well. Fireheart talked to Yellowfang in the last moments of her life. The rest of the camp got shelter in RiverClan territory. Graystripe, Fireheart's old clan mate that had gone to RiverClan to be with his kits, wanted to come back. But Bluestar didn't allow him, for she had seen her kits grow up in another clan. Rain breaks out and the cats go back to their home.
