I bought this game for about the same price amazon's asking for it, and I felt it was worth it. Afer all, it did keep me entertained. I love the new ultimate risk feature where you pick battle tactics and get to play diffrent scenarios from the nepolianic wars and americian expansion. A must for big risk fans.

This game is the Video game version of the old board game named RISK. But it has a few extra features on it that you do not find on the board game, which in only available on the computer version since it involves different situations that allow you to see actions on the screen. A game in which the graphics aren't amazing but good enough for this type of game. But is still fun to play and worth the money that you have to spend to get it

Timeless...,

I've loved this game for years. It has regular Risk, but it also has "Ultimate Risk" in which generals and forts can be purchased, wars can be fought on extensive maps of the world, North America, Europe, and Asia, and you can start fighting in a Scenario match, as, say, 1812 America, or 1798 France. Good stuff.

In response to the reviewer who was unable to save his/her games:1. Click Start then Run. 2. In the box, type C:\Program Files\Risk\Savegame This should open an Explorer window. 3. Click the Edit menu 4. Click Select All 5. Click File 6. Click Properties 7. Uncheck Read Only This should allow you to save games at the end of each turn. 8. Click OK

This game can be a lot of fun, but you must have a lot of time to play it. It can last well over two hours. But it is a really neat game.

Really Great Game,

This is by far the best Risk game ever made on PC. With 4 different maps (Europe, Asia, America, and World its much more fun than a regular Risk game or Risk II. The Ultimate setting is very fun to play on, with the abulity to hire Generals, build Forts, and deal with weather conditions. Risk II is nothing like this game because there is only one map and nothing nearly as involved as Ultimate Risk. I would definitely recommend this game over all others. It is also quite cheap, so your getting a game 5 times better for half the price.

Graphic, Long-Lasting, and Strategic,
By William Jacobs (Wellington, Florida USA) - See all my reviews

This game is very good and best for Risk players. I'll explain the game; if you've played, skip to ////////. Risk is a battle game that combines strategy and luck. The goal is to conquer the world with your armies, country by country. Owning entire continents gains extra reinforcements, as does owning individual countries. Risk is unfortunately downhill for players that are behind. //////// The computer game offers several customizable features, such as "blind Risk". The game offers an Ultimate Risk variation, but it's not explained and not very good. Fortunately, there are three levels of AI (artificial intelligence). The graphics are good, and there's a neat winning clip. I recommend this for people who like Risk or other strategy games.

I love Risk and have been playing for about half my life. I got the computer version about ten years ago and have loved it ever since. Mine got a bit glitchy one I started using it on a Windows XP computer. It sometimes crashes for no particular reason. Just save often. The "World" map and "Europe" maps are great. They have taken this to a whole new addictive level. The "ultimate" version is great if you take a little time to play it and understand it. The generals and forts just add some depth to a wonderful game. Also, if you just want to play the classic version it is so quick and easy to set-up. Great game

This is an excellent game of "risk" that is played like the original board game. I recommend it to those looking for a strategy game. The seller was excellent and the item was promptly shipped.
