I have read a good many Black Lace books, and this one was one of the worst. If this is indicative of where the imprint is heading, I'll be sadly disappointed. The story was silly, the heroine unlikable, and to paraphrase Mark Twain, the sex scenes were lousy, and there weren't even that many. There was a particularly obnoxious one where the leading man has sex with a girl to get information out of her, and much is made of how fat she is and how she's just so glad to get a big old stud like him. Personally, I prefer not to read condescending things like that in my erotica, especially when it's written by a woman. I'm all for a little disrespect, but it should be of the bodice-ripping variety! If you want a good Black Lace book, check out Stand And Deliver, or Darker Than Love.

Too many little sub-plots and characters that never really mesh. Fair erotic descriptions but without really involving the reader. Not one you'll want to read again.
