Very portable but...duplicate material,

My issue is that it was NOT clear from their product description here online that the 200 questions in here are a SUBSET of the ones in the software. This little factoid is noted on the very bottom of the first page of the book. Now, if you are not planning to buy the software, spending this kind of money for 1/7 of the questions is not a bad deal. However, if you had already bought or are buying the software as part of your exam prep plan, you will be wasting your money to buy this too. I wish I'd known before writing my name inside. I should have saved the money - hopefully I'll help you.
If you are NOT buying the software, but do have Rita's study guide, this little book is useful, because it does cross-reference the pages you need for clarification. If you miss a question, you can easily research your areas of weakness. So for this market segment (non-software buyers) this is a useful, worthwhile tool. Portability - about the size of a stack 3/8" high of 3 x 5 cards.

Don't waste your money. There are other more useful products out there. I have been very dismayed by the CD (1 year limited use), study cards...these don't help with passing the test. Rita is clever on repackaging material from her original book. Don't fall into the trap!

I sat for my PMP exam in 2006 and used Rita's Pocket PMP Exam questions as part of my preparation for the exam. The more practice questions that you can do before the exam, the better will be your result. You have to do the questions as though you are working under exam conditions: no peeking at the text book or reference material; if you don't know the answer, you have to feel the anguish and try to work out the most likely answer. If you follow this approach, the correct answer is more likely stick in your memory when you are reviewing your answers afterwards.
I also used Rita's PMP Exam Prep (Course in a Book) and I would recommend all of her products to anyone planning to sit the exam. I passed the test on my first go.

I don't have to talk about Rita ... the world knows she is the best. This book was really useful and because of it's size I could carry anywhere. Whenever you get some free time you could quickly answer a couple of them and review.

A great resource to help on passing the PMP exam. I carried it wherever I went. Whenever I had a few moments I would pull it out and work on a couple of questions. I found Rita's questions to be the best at preparing me for the questions I would see on the exam.

Good test to take; nothing surprisingly new if you read Rita's PMP Exam Prep book,
By Calin Somosan (Victoria, BC, Canada) - See all my reviews

The aspect that I found good about this book was that is contains one test comparable to what you get on the PMP exam, in one place, mixed up and not sorted on topics, so that you can take it, time yourself and simulate an exam situation.
I did find certain questions repeated from the PMP Exam Prep book and that was disappointing. If you read Rita's PMP Exam Prep book, and already did the exercises from that book, you will also find repeated themes and styles for certain questions that reflects her take on things, so you'll just know the answers because of that, not because you are made to think about a situation and use your PMP knowledge. I found annoying the small, pocket format of the book. I wish it was a larger format or a spiral bound so that it could easily be kept open. Because of the small format, it is very hard to keep it open and easily use it in a real testing situation when you have to write answers down, do some writing at times on separate scratch paper. I am guessing the intent was to allow people to easily carry this book around and flip through questions over and over so that they eventually get used to them and the answers... that should just not be the way one prepared for the exam in my view, by memorizing questions and the "right" answers to them. I used the book once.

I got this book after I read study guides to practice. First I got only 50% right and then after Rita's explanations and more studying I got them 80% right. The questions on the exam were easier than in Rita's so if you understand the logic behind her answers it is very helpful.

This book is an example of Project Management Failure,
This review is from: Rita's Pocket PMP Exam (Paperback)
I have two copies and both are defective. Pages 158, 159, 162, 163, 165, and 166 are blank, leaving me to wonder about the answers to questions 150-151, 158-163, and 169-174. There was no quality control in this book project. I guess the WBS really did Break Down!!!!

This pocket question booklet is easy to use anywhere, anytime. I found the questions to be good to study from, as another form or study drill in addition to others I was using. I like the size convenience because I could review during my workouts on the eliptical and treadmill.
