The first light was terible. One LED didn't work at all, the light would go on and off without even touching it, or when my hand was near but not on the switch. The dim positiion did not work at all.
When informed of the situation, the company was very good. They sent another light immediately, saying thst it wasn't necessary to return the old light. The new light works as it should and I am pleased with it.

It is too feeble to be a picture light, whether the room is dark or lighted; and the light is blue, far from neutral white. The positive reviewers talk about uses other than for picture illumination.

The product description above states: "The six white LEDs are super bright." However, the product I received had very blue lights (far from "white") and they definitely are not "super" bright. It's insufficient for lighting a medium-sized painting as I'd hoped, although it might work for an 8"x10" or smaller size.

I read the reviews and although they weren't as good as I would have liked, I ordered 2 of them anyway and had free shipping, so why not try them?
They arrived yesterday and, as I'm having company tomorrow, I put the batteries in and clipped them on two of my best 'masterpieces' immediately!
I'm just thrilled! They are perfect! It just doesn't get any easier than that - insert batteries and clip on! I love the swivel head, the three way setting (on, dim, off) and it lights up enough for me. Plus, I like the versatility of being able to take it off and using it somewhere else if I ever choose to - headboard for reading, car visor, laptop, whatever.
These are really fantastic and as soon as I can, I'm ordering several more.
Only one way to improve upon it, in my opinion, and that would be to make a larger one available as an order option to cover more space on a picture. Other than that, I'm pleased as punch!

This is almost totally worthless as a picture light. What's so maddening is that, with current LED technology, this light could have been a useful product (I own several other LED lights for various uses. Some are VERY bright). They seem to have utilized some very wimpy light sources in this thing. Also as other reviewers commented the light is bluish rather than white and distorts the quality of the picture. We are searching for another light to illuminate our picture.

I needed this light to be mounted over a dartboard to better illuminate the playing area. It didn't make much of a difference. Must now look for another.

This product works as advertised. It provides a cool white light onto pictures. The clip works reasonably well on frames that are not too thick. I find the lighting satisfactory for small to medium sized pictures. The edges and corners of larger pictures are not well lit when using a single light. I get a little nervous that some of the plastic clips might break, but that hasn't happened (yet).

I needed a picture light for an Olympic hockey picture that was mostly shadowed. It was a very expensive picture purchased at an auction in my game room, that I only light up when having guests or a party. Not the kind of thing I keep a light on for all the time. Hence, I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on something so rarely used. The RITE LITE is just right, ha! It may not be fully metal but it is hard to tell by looking at it or even touching it. It throws just the right amount of light and meets the need for periodic illumation at just $25.00 (that includes shipping). On top of that I got the thing within 2 or 3 days with standard shipping. I mounted it to my wall and it looks awesome, and much more expensive than it is. I have already received multiple compliments on it. Kudos for meeting my need at a great price!

I thought I would end up installing the hard mount on the frame I needed illuminated, but I was pleasantly surprised when the clamp mount fit nicely! The light really shows off the framed piece of orignal art a friend of mine did. I now see details I could not have imagined before. And no running to the store when the batteries wear out looking for the correct lithium-ion battery. Just slap in more AAA's and you are good to go. Winner!

I've just received this product, so my rating is based only on my first impression. I wanted it for vision help for cosmetic purposes. It works very well for my mirror ... seems bright enough ... I liked the flexible neck. I might note (we'll see if Amazon lets me say this): I ordered it through Walmart's "site to store" system: NO SHIPPING CHARGES!
