Ok, everyone complaining about the amount of light needs to relook at the ad. This is a display light and I think it is perfect for lighting art or other items displayed around your home. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 was that the adhesive is not strong enough to hold this light to a ceiling and there are no screws included for the mounting bracket it comes with, so you have to match up the correct size screw to use the mounting bracket. Also be weary the ad states it requires 3AAA batteries in one spot and then says 3AA in another place. It infact takes AA batteries. I always have AA on hand but almost bought a bunch of AAA batteries but luckily I checked first.

An inexpensive light okay for occasional display use. I was disappointed in the amount of light it provided since the term "spotlight" and 6 LEDs lead me to think it would be a lot brighter. In fact, I have a 3 LED light that has more power. Will keep around for displays that are mostly lit, or for "mood" lighting purposes.

I guess I innately assumed it wasn't going to be a spotlight I'd mount on my car to find lost kittycats. I initially pictured it as mood lighting, specialty lighting, ambiance. I have it shining on a bust of Shakespeare, and it's perfect for that.

I can see the seller's dilemma, though. There are spotlights and then there are spotlights. This is a spotlight with six little LEDs, and so I suppose they assumed too much of us. Don't buy this expecting to become an EquiSearch volunteer. Buy it to set up some interesting lighting effects in your home.

I use this in bed to read @ night. Also nice for quick emergency light. Would buy again.

These are great for the price. Nice accent lights. If you're looking for a bright spotlight, try the RiteLite LPL748 instead, it's much brighter (but costs more). Look for the three pack with remote (cheaper per unit) which even includes the batteries and is a great buy.

I bought two of these light to experiment with. I tried them as accent lights for artwork (paintings, watercolors) in places where we had no recessed (halogen) spotlights to shine from on high. Well, halogen lighting does a lot more for artwork than LED lites, because LED light quality is coldish, and it has that exact effect on warmer colors in artwork, essentially cancelling out warmth and richness. Possibly using for accent lights for black & white photos would work? For now I have one on each side of the keyboard when on the computer at night and the rest of the lights in the office are off; it is very pleasant and I think relieves eye strain when working on the PC at night. LED light contrasts nicely with PC light and adds a nice modern feel to office ambience. They can also be used to create a novel lighting effect in bathrooms when guests are over. Wow, peeing to moonlight, in your own home ! For the price it is fun to play with these lights. I may take them to work to assist in interrogating my co-workers during our daily mini-therapy chats. Ok, the LEDs are going to be on you until you tell the truth !

I've had several of these for at least a year and like them immensely. One sits by my computer and the other on my bedside night stand. The one by the computer gives me just enough light to illuminate the keyboard, while the one on the night stand is used to light the bedroom while I prepare for bed at night. It's a gentle light, yet bright enough to glow to the far reaches of a room.
I like that the batteries last for months despite daily use.

During several recent power outages, these lights were invaluable. They stayed on constantly for hours and were great for reading in the dark with an expanse of light much wider and friendlier than a flashlight's.

This light is not for delivering a bright, illuminating light but for accenting a picture or item. Its two settings are adequate for my use (illuminating a picture), but don't count on it to deliver the kind of light you would expect from a flashlight. Inexpensive and effective.

Exellent when the lights go out ,low vision reading light,exellent battery life ,most of all honest company,I gave them to my camping family they love them ... jvdamelio

Love, love, love, my closet has no light , so I ask my Landlord to install two of these lights, I love them.
