I used this book to plan my own wedding, and my wife uses this book in the coordination of weddings at our local Catholic church. It has all the text needed for the ceremony...all the options for the Liturgy of the Word, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist, as well as different options to address the different situations.

The only drawback is that the flow of the ceremony is not that clear in this text, however, most ritual texts that I have been exposed to are the same way. The book that's often handed out by churches to those who are about to marry, "Together for Life" also contains the options for readings in the ceremony, and that flows much more clearly...if you already have "Together for Life," and you are mostly concerned about the readings, there is really no need to have this text. However, if you want to work with your priest to choose everything including which Eucharistic prayer to use, this book is very useful.

I bought this book for my daughter when she was preparing for her Catholic wedding. It helped her to select the prayers and readings on her important day. The marriage ceremony is very important and this book shows the actual litugy that will be used. The book is not only for priests and deacons but for anyone who wants to prepare for marriage.
