The B-side makes it worth it.,

There's not much to say here about the different mixes of "Rite of Shiva". To those familiar with this great song off of MLG's self-titled album, there is nothing spectacularly different about these versions. The real treat on this single is "All I Really Need", a foul-mouthed cut that never made it on the full-length album. Jam-packed with explicit samples I can't get away with quoting here, this song is one of the better pieces I've heard from this band, certainly better than some of the ones they put on their albums, but probably the label shied away from the profanity and told them to issue it on a less-commercial release. Don't get me wrong, the swearing isn't what makes this a good song; it could easily hold its own without the samples.

I agree with the other reviewer. The only reason I have been searching so long for this CD is "All I Really Need."
The samples are great, if you like swearing and the song is good too. Can't say much about the other remixes, the album version of Rite of Shiva is as good as it gets. |
