Look carefully at the picture for this item. BOTH sides have the large metal bumps (or screw holes). I purchased this adapter to connect a normal male cord to a splitter that had a male plug as well. The splitter device also has the large metal screw holes. Since both ends had these parts in the way the male parts were not able to insert into the female adapter -- was like a built in chastity belt for my VGA cord. Check your cord or connection items carefully for this conflict.

This is your standard VGA gender changer. Nothing more, nothing less.

Very happy. Product works great. I went to 3 different local stores looking for something similar (Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Target). Nobody had it. I ordered from RiteAV and it showed up 3 days later to my front door. I should have shopped Amazon.com first.

I've used this product I have no problems with it. It connectes 2 VGA male ports to extend the signal being sent down the cable. It works with no problem. Dirt cheap and works fine with no problem.

It arrived a bit late but the product was as pictured and works exceptionally well. It is nice that the piece is so small so i can fit it just about anywhere and its hard to loose because it has the yellow strip.

This product is exactly what I needed it just arrived 2 weeks to late. Had to spend 10 times the amount locally to complete project.

Buy it. Cheaper than buying that longer cord you were eyeing. Works for me, connected a 25' cord to a 6' cord, laptop to projector. My other alternative was to purchase that 30' or longer cord, and I only needed a couple of feet.

I wanted to connect my iPad to the overhead projector. Unfortunately this connection is at a podium, and I wanted to sit down at the main table with the device. Enter this VGA coupler. It allowed me to connect two standard VGA cables (i.e. from your monitor to your computer) together, and in effect lengthen the VGA connection from the overhead projector to my iPad. Video output seemed fine. Arrived quickly!

Works perfect...it pairs two male VGA cables together.

Since VGA is not a digital signal, a piece like this could interfere with quality. I did not see any interference in my setup, but if you are running several long cables together you should probably invest in higher quality VGA cables and couplers or even a VGA extender.

An extremely compact and inexpensive way to combine two VGA cables rather than buying a special male to female cable.

I use one to make a cable long enough to hide behind the legs of a desk and one to extend my television port under the floor and to the back of the room for quick connection of any laptop. Works great.
