5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT DEAL
Fast shipment and the best price I could find anywhere. I used the cable to hardwire a second computer in my house to a room about 75' away and it worked great.

1.0 out of 5 stars Untwisted pair
Cat5e should have four pair twisted wire. When I cut the cable, and found all 8 wires are not twisted. Un-Twisted cable is unstable, and is not good for long distance.

The Seller will ship you this item very fast, however this Cat5E cable is used - not new. It states new but that's BS, because it shows wear from prior staples and white paint from walls. Also I feel the need to let everyone know that you truly don't know what type of cable they send u because it has no markings on it declaring it a Cat5E cable like all 100 or so I have. It may be or it may just be the older standard of Cat5, which is very irresponsible. Other than these few complaints the cable works fine and its long.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nightmare on Cat5 Ethernet, July 7, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: RiteAV - Cat5e Network Ethernet Cable - Blue - 100 ft. [Office Product] (Office Product)
RiteAV - Cat5e Network Ethernet Cable 100ft arrived on time from seller. Quality of cable is sub standard. If you plug in the cable as is, like most people do, it should work. So what's the big deal? But I used it to install cable wiring thru the walls and so I had to cut the cable to the desire length. When reconnecting the cable, I notice the copper wire (most important part of the cable) was thin and wrapped with extra thick plastic insulation for needed support; otherwise the wire might fall apart. Also no fiberglass insulating material like other better cables, just lots of plastic to appear thicker. Because the copper was thin and the plastic was thick, connecting it to RJ45 cable plugs and wall plugs was a nightmare. No good connections as the thin copper could not make proper contact because of the extra thick plastic, so I had to trim off the plastic from each and every small wire individually for every single plug point and hope that the wire does not fall apart. Note: there are 8 small twisted wires running thru the Ethernet cable. Very disappointed and full of regrets, it was too late to turn back as I had cut the cable and fished it thru walls. Anyone reading this should consider spending a few dollars more for a better name brand cable like "Belkin".

Service was good and the item arrived when scheduled through a third party, fulfilled through Amazon.Com. Packaging was good. Cord looked new, but intermittent signals of connection from AV Cable. Faulty. Returned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed!, November 23, 2008
This review is from: RiteAV - Cat5e Network Ethernet Cable - Blue - 100 ft. [Office Product] (Office Product)
This product was new - as advertised. It shipped timely and was packed well. I only wanted to connect a third computer directly to the gateway, bypassing a slow wireless, and this did the trick. Thanks!

1.0 out of 5 stars Fragile cable - don't buy! Go for Cat6!, October 7, 2009

I ordered 100 ft of Cat5e ethernet cable from CMPLE. It arrived quickly. I tried the cable initially upon purchase with a laptop 5 feet from the router with no problems. However, after connecting the cable down through a 3/4 inch hole in the floor and back up the floor 75 feet away from the router, the cable no longer functioned. I checked with Linksys to confirm the cable was the problem. It had just worked prior to extending it across the house. The heads look very fragile and I suspect that's problem. There was some fraying of the copper leads on the heads. Too cheap for normal use.

I would upgrade to a Cat6! Don't make the mistake I made.

1.0 out of 5 stars Untwisted Pairs - not Cat5e, February 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: RiteAV - Cat5e Network Ethernet Cable - Blue - 100 ft. [Office Product] (Office Product)
This cable is not twisted, as all Cat5e cable should be, according to the staff at my local networking store. Untwisted cable leads to interferance in the signal. The definition of Cat5e cable is that the pairs are twisted. THE PAIRS IN THIS INFERIOR CABLE ARE NOT TWISTED AND ARE NOT COLORED ACCORDING TO THE STANDARD FOR CAT5E - DO NOT PURCHASE.

The product arrived sooner than promised and was in new condition as far as I could tell, internet worked properly and it was a very very good price which is what I was looking for. So far this is a great deal I would definately recommend it to anyone that needs an ethernet cord of 100ft and doesn't want to pay a lot of money for it.

1.0 out of 5 stars This stuff sucks, April 19, 2011

At first glance, the cable looks solid and would likely perform just fine. I bought this with the intention of cutting it up and making some shorter cables. Too bad that a) the pairs weren't twisted and b) there was no color code. There were 8 varying colors, but some of them were so similar that trying to make a new cable would be a complete headache. Cat5 cables are supposed to be made to a particular standard, including the twists and the color code. Luckily, my buddy had some extra cable and I got my tasks completed. I won't be buying anymore of this stuff.
