Totally overlooked that it was only 1 foot long, so figured I would be disappointed. Ends up, I use THIS cable more often than the longer ones, as it eliminates all the extra cable around the laptop. Glad I ordered TWO that day now.

Bought two of these, use both a lot and they work great, unlike the 2m USB cables that I bought which were junk. Nice to have short cables that don't junk up the desktop.

I ordered two. Both work well. The 1-foot is ideal to avoid messy tangled lines. Delivery was prompt.

Western Digital Passport external hard drives are notorious for not working with long USB cables. This one worked great as a replacement to a lost cable for a 320gb drive.

It's what they said it was. I got what I sent for. What else is there to say? Thanks? Okay thanks. Set up was real easy all you have to do is plug it in. It first I wasn't sure I could handle it but after I called the tech line they assured me it was real easy. I was skeptical at first but I thought what the heck just go for it. They were right it was real easy. The only thing I suggest, is be sure which end goes into the computer and which end goes into the other thing. The instructions don't say much in that regard. But after studying the two ends for a while I felt pretty confident about plugging it into my computer and the other thing too. Was this helpful? I sure hope so.

I bought a My Passport Essential My Passport Essential WDME1600 - Hard drive - 160 GB - external - Hi-Speed USB - midnight black about a couple of years ago. The thing is that about a couple of months ago the cable that came with the hard drive stopped working. I tried to find another but all I got were 3 to 6 ft USB cables which were thinner and useless. I couldn't find a local cable of the size of the original, so I got this one, which by the way came quite expensive on delivery, but totally worth it.
I now use this cable and works just as the older one did.

Whenever I purchase inexpensive cables, I'm sometimes disappointed when one doesn't function properly or has bent terminals. Well, this one was not a disappointment... it appears to be well-made and worked fine. I'm using it to replace a long cable with an extra usb plug (for power). I have a portable hard drive with a case that would not allow for the long cable and this one foot cable is fine plus it's much handier when I plug in the drive. One doesn't need a three foot cable to access the usb ports on a computer.
