RiteLite LED wireless task light is a perfect multi-use light. This light has six super bright white LEDs which will last for up to 100,000 hours. The light is battery operated, so no wires or installation is required. The light has three settings: on, dim and off. The swing-out light arms spread open with the touch of one button. Choose from dual light positions: compact position or spreadout position. The pivot light head and neck allow for ideal light positioning. The task light includes an EZ clip mounting bracket and can clip to shelving, headboards, picture frames and much more in just seconds. Also can be used without mounting bracket for placement on a table, desk, nightstand, dresser and much more. Perfect for the home, office, dorm room, workshop, etc.

Skip this item unless you 'absolutely' need a non-AC worklight with a large spring holding clamp. First of all, the long arms are not flexible and mostly just get in the way. Secondly, one of the LED's burned out after the first use. And thirdly, the much smaller, cheaper work lights that Amazon sells give just as much light (and often much MORE light) as this RiteLite. I would recommend the Streamlight clipmate. It's small, has a ball and socket rotation mechanism attached to a SMALL clamp (which is all you usually need), and the LED's are bright enough to allow you to see something more clearly even if working in a bright office environment (such as inside a computer or fax machine). At a better price, but giving just as much light as the over-priced RiteLight, Amazon sells the Kaito 6-LED Reading lamp. It doesn't have the long arms of the RiteLite, but you can put it on something like a box, etc, to allow it to shine down into the area in which you are working. But as mentioned above, if you really need BRIGHT light, the Stremloght clipmate is the choice.

Right out of the box, one LED didn't work. Then the other LEDs grew dim quickly. And it ate-up batteries at a tremendous rate. Avoid this item.

I bought this to clip on my headbord for reading at night. It does work but a larger stronger light would have been better. I have no idea what to do with it. It clips nicely onto my slid out keybord but if the electricity was off I would have no computer?? If anyone has some usuable ideas that would be nice. If you camp out or in an emergency it could be useful. So until that time it just sits in my closet. What can I say? I'm being honest~
