Solmssen did his research in writing this book. As a member of the Philadelphia society, this book is a bit chilling, seemingly so accurate. A truly remarkable piece exploring one man's attempt to get out of, or remain in, the society that sought him out. If you like this book, also read the Philadelphian, by Powell.

I read this book approximately 20 years ago but still remember that I liked it VERY much. If I remember correctly, it was about a staid law firm on the park in downtown Philadelphia.
