5.0 out of 5 stars music man
To those who think that this cd isn't christian well read the lyrics again, it may not say God in them but it talks about youth mostly in some of the songs, and other songs different aspects of life, and this is a super-awesome cd, if you like hard driven hardcore music buy this , you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars S.A.S. has quickly become one of my favorite bands, December 30, 1999

Right next to P.O.D. (love these guys too, but a comparison can't be made...totally different hardcore styles) Stretch is one of my favorite bands. Energy and passion bleed on all tracks. Tons of creativity and musical beauty. The sound tracks offered here do the CD no justice. If you can, listen to it before you buy. I'm sure they're available pretty much anywhere. For a good idea of what to expect on this disk, you can check out an MP3 for their song FOR NOW. It'd definitely an album definer. Here's where you can listen:

But if you must go on my words alone, if you're a fan of hardcore, PICK IT UP! The music will get you emotionally stirred and the lyrics are solid!

5.0 out of 5 stars INSANE, YOU CAN LISTEN TO THIS DISK OVER AND OVER!!, May 7, 1999

Stretch rides high over so many other hardcore bands. In just one song, you can hear their talent. They are technical, passionate, and inspiring. Above everything else, they are in it for the right reasons, & you can hear it in their music. This CD is amazing & has something for everyone. It's not just for hardcore fans!!!

This is perhaps one of the best hardcore albums of 1999. If you are a fan of snapcase you will defintly like this album. I read a few of the reviews, of people who think they are a Christian band, they ARE NOT. I read article with them in it, HM magazine, they said that they are not Christians, in fact they said they believe in Chrishna, which they believe is a higher power. They were asked about the song "For Now", (#6), which sounds like a love song to Christ, but the lead singer said,it's a song he wrote for his wife on their wedding day. people think that if a band is on tooth&nail, they are a Christian band, but that is not true, they have a good number of non-Christian bands. I am a Christian, and I am not judging this band or there label, but I'm just telling you what I've heard directly from the band. So if your looking for a Christian hardcore CD, buy a CD such as Point of Recognition, or No Innocent Victim, but if you enjoy awesome hardcore music, buy this CD, it is one of the best albums out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Stuff, December 27, 2000
This review is from: Rituals of Life (Audio CD)
I'm not really that into hardcore music. One listen to Stretch Arm Strong (not to be confused with the popular DJ/rapper)and I now have a more opened mind for the genre. It's emotionally intense and powerful, but it's not angry at all. There are a lot of emotional tendencies that shine. My favorite song (gives me goose bumps everytime i hear it) is "For Now"...listen to the words...a positive love song. These boys deserve some attention. Anyone who is into hardcore (or who maybe isn't), give it a listen. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yup, Still Doing It For The Kids, October 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Rituals of Life (Audio CD)
This is the best hardcore punk release of 1999. By far this CD is produced and played better than any other ones I've heard. 11 songs of emotion driven hardcore. These guys are even better in concert. They are truly living examples of what they write. If you can't get enough of bands like AFI you will want to buy this and listen often. STRETCH ARMY SOLDIERS.

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't listen to the negative comments, October 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Rituals of Life (Audio CD)
Okay, there are a couple of negative reviews, which you need to ignore. These guys are like one of the most talented bands I think I've ever heard. His voice can get kind of annoying, but it grows on you, and the music AND LYRICS(hey dude that said they didn't have Christian lyrics, listen to song 5 and on. Mega-praise and outreach) make up for it. Fans of 90lb will not like this, contrary to what that other guy said. That is unless of course you like it anyway, but they sound NOTHING(and I am not joking) like 90lb.
