Needed to replace 6 month old, unattractive Black and Decker teflon skillet. Read Amazon reviews on 16" version of this skillet. Decided to get the 12" one. Skillet and probe arrived in perfect condition. 16" skillet would have been HUGE. It's a beautiful appliance, but I wish it were deeper for larger capacity and to help contain splattering. So far I've fried chicken and the next morning I did pancakes. Took time to season the skillet and carefully followed instructions for first time use. Found it easy to clean, cooks evenly, and if it were DEEPER, I'd rate it 5 stars. Rival, please make one.

I've found that this skillet heats unevenly, therefore making it necessary to frequently stir things to assure uniform cooking. Moreover, there is virtually no "simmer". If a low temperature is set, the heat goes off and eventually comes on again briefly. Cooking items that require simmering requires close monitoring and regularly reseting the heat, a real irritant.

Cooks and looks great. We have cooked many meals in this frying pan and it has done so well that we ordered a second one for our cabin. As for looks, we used it to keep our gravy warm on a serving counter for thanksgiving dinner. Thanks Rival.

I ordered 3 of these stainless steel electric skillets last November as gifts for my mom and my sister (and one for myself).But since I spend half of the year here in Florida, I needed one for myself in this location.I purposely switched us all over from using a Teflon skillet to using stainless steel--as the reports about Teflon seem quite worrisome. It was extremely difficult to locate an electric skillet which was NOT Teflon but Amazon had the only one I could find. I am very, very pleased with how fast the orders arrived and with the skillet itself.

After using electric skillets with supposed non-stick surfaces (which always end up peeling within a month or two), I was thrilled with this stainless steel model. Cleanup is easy and the food cooks well. I would have preferred something a little bigger/deeper, though it does hold more than I expected it to. With Amazon coupon codes found online, I ended up paying less for this including shipping than I did the last one I bought in a store.

This is by far the best skillet I have ever owned!! I used to go through a skillet once or twice a year because they just never lasted. I bought the 16" stainless steal skillet and while it's quite large it is perfect....easy to clean durable and I will be buying more for those big gatherings we have! I would definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SKILLET to anyone who loves cooking in skillets! I use it for stir fry, casseroles, hamburgers and breakfasts.....anything you need a frying pan for is great for this skillet and especially anything you would love to have cooked slower....just set the dial to the temperature you want and there you go!!

This skillet is a manageable size and not heavy even with the glass lid. It is easy to clean, the thermostat works well and can be used for so many things from soups, eggs, pancakes and one dish meals of all types.

I love it. It is easy to clean up just put in the dishwasher. And I love the fact it stainless steel.

I love this skillet! After 3 electric skillets with "non-stick" coatings we were totally upset. The coatings all scratched and peeled - the "best" one only lasted a year. I mentioned that my mother had had a stainless electric that lasted her lifetime and moaned "why can't I find one like that?" My hubby searched and found this one. We've had it only about a month and so far love it. We've been faithfully seasoning it after each use and it's been surprisingly easy to clean. As others mentioned, it is a bit shallow but it hasn't been a problem.

Could not be happier- the stainless surface has been shown to be the best healthwise- better than the coated type which tends to wear off and possibly affect your health
