Unauthorized Game Secrets for Riven: The Sequel To Myst walks you through the entire game in a direct and linear fashion. Crack this one with care because rather than offering subtle hints or handholding, the guide exposes secrets and cheats. In his usual light-hearted fashion, author Rick Barba covers all of the necessary ground completely. While the quick reference maps aren't minutely detailed, they're sufficient to get you out of a jam. Players who want to preserve the mystery of the game or enjoy working problems out for themselves will want to seek out a gentler guide; however, this is the perfect book for the easily frustrated player who wants answers immediately.

Players of Riven know how EXTREAMELY difficult it is, with so much to find, learn and understand playing this game without a stategy guide is just plain crazy. While I played most of the game without one, after buying this it made sense of the things I had discovered. A MUST if you're having trouble figuring out the D'ni numerals (gives you all 25) and how to open the domes. A wonderful book and you don't feel like you're cheating, after all, Riven is not a walk in the park. If you want to win this game or at least have fun without the frustration, get this book. You won't be dissapointed. I promise.
