About the Artist

PETER started to persue his musical interests at the age of twelve when he studied to play the clarinet at the Munich conservatory. A few years later he began the training of his vocal skills and his voice became the primary means of his musical expression. The voice has been the main focus of his interests in the field of music and of healing ever since. Throughout the next twenty years he played in a number of bands with various styles of music,ranging from Dixieland to Rock’n Roll,from Jazz to Metitationmusic. He studied with Sufi teachers the use of the voice in songs,chants and prayer to reach the Unity with God ,which is the driving force behind all Sufi practises . For many years he was leading singing groups and facilitated countless gatherings to join people in song and prayer and transformed many of such gatherings into “meetings of the heart”and “homecomings”. For some years now Peter has been working in recording studios and learned to transpose the art of “Live” interaction and ‘heart to heart’ singing to the studio production and as such making the warm and loving quality of his songs available to a larger audience. Peter is touring throughout the US and in Europe at Yoga and Meditation centers, as well as Music Festivals and Meditation retreats and his Songs of love and truth are being received with appreciation and grateful resonance.

Songs of joyful, creative expression In “River of Blessings” Peter takes expression to a new level, introducing his own language of sounds and rhythms to match the melodies that flow from his heart. It is as if mere words no longer say what needs to be said. Peter doesn't do away with words entirely, this CD is full of beautiful poetry and vivid images, like: "let’s turn loose the golden falcons so that they can meet in the sky where our spirits belong”. Or, at another moment, we may suddenly be struck by a list of simple everyday objects, somehow transformed into the divine through being named in song. Linked to the images are Peter's melodies, which seem like old friends almost before they reach our ears, and our hearts.

This music is for those who hear. It is like a GURU or a teacher when the student is ready- it is very inspirational, new age music. The words of the songs make you more joyful, seeking for more light, these songs are the masterpiece and the author of these songs is indeed the "being of Light". Each song can be used as meditation, although you can listen to them without any special preparation- they are so nice and calm and flowing, they fill your heart with pure love. Thank you

Its beauty is of an awesome nature, in the sense that no matter how many times I listen to it, it never fails to move me to a deep place within myself, where ecstasy abides and tears flow. Beauty may be in the eyes and "ears" of the beholder, but this Masterpiece is able to return a grateful soul to its awaiting Source.
