I believe the color to be a little less red than the photo shown, which is just perfect with the furniture in our home. The wood is attractive and unblemished. And of course, the most important part of a clock is the accuracy, which is unsurpassed.

This item was purchased as a gift for my father. He has commented many times how much he appreciated the clock which has taken up residence on his fireplace mantel. It keeps perfect time, and the numbers are large enough to read from a distance.

Item arrived promptly and in excellent shape without any problems.
Atomic clocks are silent and keep perfect time.
A very nice clock for a reasonable price.

I purchased this as a gift for my wife over a year ago. We both love it. It looks like a classic piece of antique furnishing but is keeps exceptional time as well. Well made and, other than batteries(which I haven't had to change yet), it is maintenance free. NOTE: if you are buying this clock for up-to-the-minute accuracy, you must be able to place the clock where it can receive the radio signal--if it doesn't receive the updating signal, it won't update--but it will still run fine. Highly Recommend!

This is fine clock that looks great on our mantle. During its "start-up" phase we enjoyed watching the hour and minute hands magically spin around the face until the (very) accurate time is established.

When my current mantle clock stopped working, I decided to look for a new one rather than try to get the old one repaired. So I thought this clock looked like a good replacement and I was more than happy when it arrived. First, it was a little larger than my original clock and the larger size works much better on my mantle. Second, I didn't realize how happy I would be with a radio-controlled clock but this feature is so wonderful, I don't know why I didn't go for it long ago! I like the size of the face, too. It's easy to read across the room. I still haven't gotten my old clock repaired but really, why bother when the replacement is such a gem?!

The manual makes it clear that the signal may not be strong enough all the time (due to daily variation in propagation). Even though I set the clock up during a "weak-signal" time of day, the clock was able to synchronize to the radio signal from NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) within about five minutes. This may not be your experience if you live further from the NIST transmitter (which is outside of Fort Collins, Colorado). Since I'm in Colorado, the signal is pretty strong any time of day.

I checked the accuracy of the clock (by eye) against NIST time (on my computer), and the time from my GPS. All agreed well within a second. This was right after the clock synchronized to NIST.

The wood finish is a tad light, but close enough if you have cherry elsewhere in your home.

It also has a two year warranty. How can you go wrong?

I bought this to put on top of our entertainment center in our family room. It's a great size, we can easily read the time from anywhere in the room. It looks very nice and I really like the atomic update feature. Very convenient.

As some of the reviewers stated, the wood on this clock is slightly lighter and redder than appears in the picture. However, it has a very nice appearance and keeps time beautifully. It adds a nice touch to our mantle.

The finish and workmanship of the clock surpassed my expectations.
The clock operates exactly as promised, as it automatically adjusts to the accurate time of day to the second. It successfully adjusted to the new daylight saving time standards the spring of 2009. It delivers the accuracy as promised and the color and finish are a great addition to our living room. I gave this as a gift to my wife and she love it.
