This was purchased for use on a Weber portable BBQ. Install wasn't particularly easy as it required a hole larger than my largest drill bit, but once in it has proven very sturdy and accurate. If you get used to cooking with a thermometer, you will find this indispensable.

I made my own smoker and I was using standard BBQ Thermometer, i was a bit tired to mount it back on BBQ Grill after each smoking and ordered this 3'' Thermometer.

I'm speechless. This thing is amazing - very solid construction, easy to read and really good quality.

small note: this is 3'' Thermometer - it is not small. Make sure it fits your grill before you purchase it.

Bought this and put it into my Weber at the vent just to see how it worked. Was very happy with my pork butt that I smoked for seven hours. The thermometer is well built and I am happy with my purchase. Just remember it is 3" wide. They sell a 2" model but I like to read the temp from inside my house and this one allows me to do that just fine.

I bought this because it has a very large readout I could see from my kitchen window outside to my smoker. It works but...there is always condensation under the glass. Even after hours of heat it's still there. If you don't mind that then this will be ok for you.

Bought this item and installed on modified Char Broiler Silver Smoker. Installed easy and looks good. It does a great job at what I use it for; providing an approximate temp for the entire cooker. I am pleased with my purchase and would definitely buy again.

This is a very easy to read and fast reacting thermometer.
It has been in the rain for a week, in and out of use during rain, with no fogging.
It does need a large hole to install, but I think this adds to its strength.
I just broke my other thermometer off when my pant pocket caught on it.

This product is great! It is accurate, easy to install if you have the correct tool to bore out the hole the thermometer gets installed into. The seller was great to work with, shipped quickly......no complaints whatsoever!

I had to drill a bigger hole into my smoker which was a challenge for my small drilling machine.....

However it works and its fine.

I would by it again.

Pros - adjustable and nice large dial

Cons - Requires a huge drill bit to install. The bolt is 5x larger than necessary. You either have to run to the hardware store and buy a drill bit that costs almost as much as this thermometer or try to drill multiple holes into you cooker then hope you don't leave any gaps in the opening. If you leave gaps in the opening you will eventually get condensation inside the thermometer which wont go away until you throw it in the oven to bake the moisture out. What should be a 5 minute install for most people ends up being half an hour of messing around. This really a bad design, the bolt doesn't need to hold a wheel on a truck.
