So maybe I'm a little biased because I'm one of the girls in the book, but there is nobody better than Cecilia Kleinkauf to help teach girls how to fish. I had the priviledge of fishing with her in Alaska, and she really knows her stuff. I also read the book cover to cover and it is so informative and made me want to go out and fish right then! If you have a young girl and are trying to get her into fishing or she already is and wants to learn more, this is the book you need!

I bought this for my wife to give a female perspective of fly fishing. While it may be geared to younger women, it gave her a lot of info and the why's of what I have been doing. She liked the quick read and felt it was a good information book and thought Pudge's opions as well as the girls were helpful. Now she wants boots and waders for our next trip.

This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to know more about how to get started or get better at fly fishing!!! If you find yourself saying "I want to learn how to fly fish - now what do I do" - this book was written just for you!!! You will learn what equipment and clothing is needed to get you on the water in pursuit of fish. This book is also full of illustrations and close-up photographs on everything from the fly rods, reels, leader, tippet, how to tie most used knots and what type of cast are best to use and when. It also has a wealth of info on how to fish in fresh and salt water and the best techniques for catching, playing and landing fish. There is even a shopping guide checklist in the back of this book along with a wonderful glossary of fly fishing terms which I found to be extremely helpful. If you or someone you know is interested in learning about fly fishing and what to do to get started, I highly, highly recommend this fantastic book!!!

At last someone has focused on encouraging girls to take up fishing,especially fly fishing! With four real life girls to lead the way, young women can see for themselves that fishing isn't just for boys any more! Want the girl in your life to start fly fishing? BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!

I picked this book up as a Christmas gift for some nieces based on the author's first book being such a hit with my mother.

And I'm happy to say the book was well received by all of them. Now I get the impression my mother and nieces are planning a trip to Alaska this summer.

If you have any women in your life that enjoy the outdoors these books from this author are a must.
