5.0 out of 5 stars Mata Amritanandamayi's Biography on video - A True Blessing, May 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: River of Love [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I bought this video in November 99. I have watched it many times and don't get tired of watching and listening. Amma's life and teachings are always inspiring and help me get through difficult times by bringing me back to the Truth.

The whole video is beautifully done. The music, songs, scenery and interviews with devotees are all very enlightening. I always feel peaceful after watching even only a few minutes of this documentary.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the GREAT feature documentaries!, December 1, 2011
I urge everyone to view this movie! It is so gorgeous, so haunting, so true and pure and filled with heart as to be simply overwhelming. It was filmed all over southern India in amazing locations. Tobias, the writer/director, is one of the great filmmakers of this generation and he obviously knows India, and Indian spirituality more than most. It is incredible that he was able to make this film; and to bring out the true saint that is Ammachi, whom I have followed for many years. This is by far the finest film ever made of a living Indian saint.
