This was and remains an interesting book. A fun read that walks you through the basics of river salmon fishing. Here in the Northwest it is Humpback (Pink) salmon seqason coming in the fall of 2007. So truely a book the will help the beginning and occasional weekend warrior, too.

I have quite a number of fishing books and value this one second to none. Highly recommended, solid investment in your river lessons with salmon. Injects humor, which is a great teaching tool! Fishing should be fun whether you catch fish or not.

Catch this book, first, and the fish will follow!

Althugh I prefer to fish offshore, when our quarry leaves the sea, we're obliged to follow. From long hours on the water, Bill knows his stuff. Much good advice here, for both beginners and fish nuts.
An excellent read for salmoneers.

This book has the potential to bring more fish in. Through my experience fishing it did help me understand some of the techniques he wrote about. Must process the information and adjust it to your region.
