I wore this sock on a 9 month backpacking trip to Southeast Asia, Australia and South America. I only had 3 pairs of socks in my bag, and these were one of them. They were absolutely great -- always comfortable, and are still functional after all that wear!

I can't afford these socks very often, but every once in a while my father in law will gift some to me. Boy, am I grateful!

They are the softest, most comfortable socks I've ever worn. They are the perfect weight for everything besides high summer (I live in Texas), and they have held up to wash after wash after wash.

Cheap big-box store socks fill a function - they're affordable enough to fill my sock drawer with. But at my house, the main function they serve is as "spares" when these GOOD socks are in the wash.
