5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a complete solution for my CD-R
I had been using an assortment of OEM software. I was getting frustrated by using this pieced together solution so I bought Digital Studio. Talk about a great upgrade to all my OEM software! This product is great! It's all my favorites (Pyro, VideoWave, PhotoSuite) combined into one product. The burner that comes with it is pretty slick too. It can burn to VCD format so I...

If you use Internet Explorer 6 the cd burning software DOES NOT WORK! As soon as you attempt to drag files or copy an entire cd you will get a "illegal operation" notice and the program will close. You cannot burn a cd. The troubleshooting guide will tell you to uninstall IE6 and use an earlier version. After much e-mail correspondence their tech support (a...

This product is great! It's all my favorites (Pyro, VideoWave, PhotoSuite) combined into one product. The burner that comes with it is pretty slick too. It can burn to VCD format so I can edit videos on VideoWave and then burn them to play later on my living room DVD player. Instant big screen stars out of my friends!

This software was a bargain. I'm not getting a lot more out of my camcorder too.

You cannot burn a cd. The troubleshooting guide will tell you to uninstall IE6 and use an earlier version. After much e-mail correspondence their tech support (a JOKE) will tell you the same. They say they are aware of the problem but really have no fix! By the way if you review their own system req's they say that IE 5.0 or higher is req'd. Sales and tech support are on different planets!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this product, January 2, 2003

I bought this because it was inexpensive and I don't need much for my purposes of video editing. this product, however, is horrible. It can't even meet my basis needs. I get eror messages constantly and it crashes every time I use it. This is no exageration. I have never actually exited out of the program because it always crashes on it's own. It doesn't work well with XP (which is never really mentioned anywhere). The help (both in the help menu and online) is not very helpful. No user manual was included. It was just a very bad product. Check out their online help site and you will see an abundance of negative feedback (I didn't see this until after I purchased the product and was going there to get help). I could go on for even longer about it but I won't. I don't know what else is out there, but there has to be something better than this. Even if it costs a little more it would be worth it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, October 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Extreme Media Digital Studio (CD-ROM)
What an incredible value!

I was looking for easy to use products (I figured I would have to buy two products!) that would let me edit my videos and photos -- finding one package that lets me edit my videos and photos, plus rip music, burn photo and video CDs, and create CD labels is outstanding!

I hadn't even considered how quickly my photos and videos would fill up my hard drive -- being able to burn them to CD is a great way to archive and save hard drive space!

I'm also having a great time ripping and organizing my music, then creating music CDs -- something I hadn't even considered before!

All in all, this product gave me all the features I was looking for, plus much, much more!

2.0 out of 5 stars Looks good up front, May 26, 2002
This review is from: Extreme Media Digital Studio (CD-ROM)
I bought this product as an alternative to having to upgrade the Easy CD Creator ver. 5 from the OEM version 4 after installing the XP upgrade to my ME. It doesn't work either-at least not the NTI CD Burner. It won't work with IE 6. The package also comes with Cakewalk Pyro-which I've tried to use to burn CD's but is very slow and inconsistent (3 of seven cuts played-the rest gave me error messages) I suspect because it's designed more toward Mp3 and WAV devices. So far, the CD label Maker piece is great with tons of graphic alternative and also very easy to use. My suggestion, don't fight city hall-just roll with the Easy CD creator upgrade, I'm going to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Video Editing, October 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Extreme Media Digital Studio (CD-ROM)
I just started using Digital Studio and it is loaded with great features. We video taped my son's first birthday party yesterday, edited it, added some titles and music, burned it onto Cds and then sent it out to all out guests as a thank you for celebrating with us. I loved that I could do so much with one product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Is there a deluxe version?, February 8, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Extreme Media Digital Studio (CD-ROM)
I prefer Extreme Media to Easy CD Creator Platinum 5. However, although the help section gives instructions on how to format blank CD-RW CDs, the options to which it refers do not appear to exist in the basic version. Otherwise, I would give the program five stars.

1.0 out of 5 stars What A Waste, June 24, 2002
This review is from: Extreme Media Digital Studio (CD-ROM)
I bought this mostly because of the video editing section of the product... I got all excited and when i installed it, I realized there is no way to hook up my video camera to the computer. The product claims to be able to put your old home made movies on to a CD. Unless u have a video camera that has a USB port(mine doesnt), or you go out and buy one of those expensive A/V ports for ur computer, youve wasted your money. The music editing portion doesnt work with my computer because i have Internet explorer ver. 6 and i have to un-install it and download another version. I intend on taking this "video editor" back.

By A Customer
This review is from: Extreme Media Digital Studio (CD-ROM)
This product is a great bargain. I installed everything in a short time with no problems. Included are basic, easy to understand tutorials for each product. The CD Label Creator is an extra perk, including many ready made templates as well as thousands of additional graphics to personalize your own. This is a product that everyone in the family will find fun to use!
