4.0 out of 5 stars Great product.. but don't try in computer running non-english OS
The product is fantastic. Easy to install and to run. It has 4 discs: fonts, web images, click art install disk, click art CD1 and click Art CD2. The search engine is very good. It also has its own drawing software and also a neat way to edit the images found in the gallery. You can crop them to different shapes, rotate the image, adjust color, adjust brightness and...

1.0 out of 5 stars misleading advertising for junky clip art
Short and sweet. Do not buy this product or any other Click Art offering.

Long story:

1. There aren't 400k images included in the box, you get quite a bit of clip art but for the rest you have to go online, navigate through a confusing interface, and eventually try to download an image that's way too large of a file size for the resolution...

This review is from: Click Art 400,000 (CD-ROM)
The product is fantastic. Easy to install and to run. It has 4 discs: fonts, web images, click art install disk, click art CD1 and click Art CD2. The search engine is very good. It also has its own drawing software and also a neat way to edit the images found in the gallery. You can crop them to different shapes, rotate the image, adjust color, adjust brightness and focus, fix flaws and apply a few effects. You can then easily save the image to the disk. The discs don't't have the 400 thousand images promised, but you can access the remaining pics via internet with a very friendly online search that let you download the images without problem

The only negative issue is that it won't work properly in non-english operational systems (Windows) if they use special characters in the name of some folders. Let me explain. For example the folder "Local Configuration" is in spanish "Configuración Local". The clickart application doesn't handle the ó character properly, so it can not create some configuration directories and ini files needed to work. So it will work the first time, and then you can either reinstall the application or delete the folder created by the application that has the wrong set of characters. Other than that this product deserves 5 start. Too bad, the programmers of the software use to browse the image galleries didn't think about non english operational systems (windows). And forget about email or phone support for this product, it is no longer available by Broderbund -the software editors-. But if the installation goes well, you won't need any support at all. Nevertheless their support web site is very good.

Short and sweet. Do not buy this product or any other Click Art offering.

Long story:

1. There aren't 400k images included in the box, you get quite a bit of clip art but for the rest you have to go online, navigate through a confusing interface, and eventually try to download an image that's way too large of a file size for the resolution.

2. The quality of imagery and the styles are a mid-90's sort of retro. Absolutely useless.

3. Speaking of useless, you can't really use these images for much. Sure, you can send a birthday card to a friend showing you care about them just enough to copy and paste an image you'll print out...but the EULA restricts you from using these images online, for business, etc.

4. Navigating the images is a task which will require some form of sedative. The prone-to-crash interface will slowly show you a handful of pictures in a preview mode that is just small enough to render the image as an unrecognizable bunch of pixels. I'm serious.
