This was a great gift for my father, who loves fishing, but he couldn't get his computer to recognize the software.....therefore, never used it. We were all bummed!

Until it failed to work.

I gave it to him last year at Christmas. An avid fisherman, he was enchanted with it. The size was perfect for his larger hand. He refrained from hooking it to a PC at the time and it languished on the shelf, a conversation piece and sometime object of envy from his friends.

I built Sweetie a Media PC for his birthday. He recently took it home and hooked it up to his television, plugged in his all-but-brand-new mouse and got nothing. So he tried it in another PC. Nothing. Plugged in a known-good mouse to the Media PC and it worked. His lure mouse had sat on a shelf for almost a year and came up a dud.

<sigh>

Maybe it was just this one mouse. I hope so. I'll get Sweetie another fishing lure mouse and we'll see.

I love stuff that catch people off guard. Everytime someone comes into my office, they get a huge laugh from this mouse. I guess the price is kind of high for a basic mouse, but it's the style of it that makes it worth it. Once you get used to this mouse, the other mice just feel weird and too small. I haven't had any issues with it and works perfect. I wouldn't recommend this one if you like smaller and/or compact mice. This one is pretty big.

Gave this as a Christmas gift and it was received well by the fisherman to whom it was given.

I gave this as a Christmas gift off someone's wish list and he loves it. It is really colorful as depicted and he has had compliments on it from visitors to his office. It is rather large but it is perfect for his large hand. If I had ordered it, it would have been way too big for me.
It would be helpful if there was a photo with it next to a common item so people could gauge the size.

I bought as a gift for Christmas and the vendor was great and on time. The issue lies with the size and angle of the mouse. While using it for 40 minutes, my wrist cramped and hurt for a few hours. My hands are small and I attributed the pain to the mouse size. Upon further use by my 6'3 boyfriend, he complained of pain in his wrist as well. Very cute, but poor ergonomic design.

I bought this for my elderly parents who have some difficulty using the Apple Mighty Mouse that came with their iMac. Its low profile and pressure areas for buttons gave them hand cramps and misclicks. The Firetiger, with only 2 buttons and a fairly large scroll wheel, is easier for them. The larger size and taller, rounded profile prevent cramping for those with large hands, as well. And the design is amusing.
