5.0 out of 5 stars Church
I had church on the way to work. I had church at work. And, I had church on the way home. These women are bad. What is not to like?!? I agree; they delivered again. One reason that we are not hearing the "quartet" sound of the last album is that Ashley was not singing on this album. She has been caring for her mother who has been ill. (check the liner notes)...

2.0 out of 5 stars Rizen, You're Not Up Yet
Saints and Friends, if you enjoyed their blow-out first album, you're not going to like this CD. This is a dis-jointed, percussion driven, mangled album. Gone are the quartet-like songs only to be replaced but screaming lead vocals competing w/the drums of Sheila E! Who wants to hear that mess? This sophomore try by these ladies leaves a lot to be desired, especially...

(check the liner notes) Also, if my memory serves me right, Sheila E. performed with them when they were on TBN. Their performance was amazing. I know that not all music styles appeal to everyone, but I thought that this Rizen CD is equally as wonderful as the last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old School Gospel Met New Age, November 13, 2005
This review is from: Rizen 2 (Audio CD)
I am 18 yrs. old and has never been into gospel that much. However, when I seen their concert on BET, I was blown away. This cd speaks to everyone. My personal favorites are Reverence and Without Him. Rizen's sound is kind of old school, but yet it seems new. This cd better than any cd mainstream artist like Kirk Franklin and Yolanda Adams could ever put out.

Wow this is a great album. I have the debut Rizen Cd and i didn't like it very much, however I knew from just seeing the "View The City" video that these ladies were a force for the King. I saw then in Concert during the "Sisters In The Spirit" tour and I was mesmorized and amazed so, at the release of this album I said I'd check it out. Boy am I glad I did. To say that it is great is an understatment from beginning to end it is a masterpiece. My favorite songs are "We've come to Magnify the Lord","Hold On", "Over there", and "Without You" And i have to give props to my girl, Sheila E, for the percussion on the intro track "Clap Your Hands"
