4.0 out of 5 stars Never Noticed
I have two words to appropiately express the quality of thi album: Silky Smooth. Ralph Tresvant has been flying under the radar. It is time to recognize his smooth vocal talents. "Never Noticed" is the Bomb! Great Album!

3.0 out of 5 stars At Least He Got The "Faire" Part Right!
Ralph Tresvant has certainly had his share of ups and downs in his career as a member of New Edition. Although his solo career started off okay like his NE counterparts with his self-title album Ralph Tresvant, the release of It's Goin' Down was the perfect title for what his solo career would ultimately do. He would return with the group for the marginally successful...

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the wait, March 14, 2006
This review is from: Rizz Wa Faire (Audio CD)
Dang! 13 years since his last solo lp, gotta give the man credit for making a very decent lp. Of course how can you be that rusty when you had two group albums in between where you had to be on point with cats like Ricky Bell, Johnny Gill and Bobby Brown who can upstage you in a minute. I really like the ballads on this cd but really liked how he freaked the Biggie instrumental. PEACE

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most underrated voices of his time, March 21, 2006
This review is from: Rizz Wa Faire (Audio CD)
Ralph Tresvant returns with this thrid solo album and like his previous two they are excellent. Ralph's problem has always been lack of faith in his vocals by cold blooded record executives in Rizzo's talent. Ralph shines on the ballads Homegirl,Never Noticed, Don't Act Innocent and the interlude Slow Down. On the uptempo side Ralph delivers the goods on Jungle Club, Save A Little Love and Something To Give You. Ralph Tresvant and his fellow NE brothers are without a doubt the most underrated group in R&B and here's hoping they get the recongtion they deserve one day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Job Ralph, March 13, 2006
This review is from: Rizz Wa Faire (Audio CD)
I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I have enjoyed listening to this cd. RizzWaFaire IMO is better than his debut. Why? Because he had way too many producers on his debut, which sounded all over the place and disjointed. However, I gotta give Jam and Lewis props for providing Ralph classics like "Sensitivity" and "Do What I Gotta Do". This new cd plays consistently from song to song. Ralph is singing better and has grown vocally which is evident on the slow ballads. He still has that silky smooth voice. My favorite cuts are mainly the slow jams like Homegirl, Never Noticed (Jam/Lewis sound-alike cut), and Too cool. The uptempo cuts I like are Love Hangover and Another Shot. Overall, Ralph did a good job on this cd.

I'm a huge NE fan and Ralph's one of my all-time favorite vocalists. I was skeptical about this release since the last CD he self-produced ("It's Goin' Down") was subpar.

Rizz Wa Faire is consistent. It features good production music and passionate singing by Ralph. "Never Noticed" is exceptional! If you're a Ralph Tresvant fan, buy this with confidence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ralph Tresvant is in the building!!, March 7, 2006
This review is from: Rizz Wa Faire (Audio CD)
What's up folks, It's your boy "Devious tha Illiano" repping the 713! I just want everybody to know that my main man Ralph Tresvant is back. This cat has always been one of the coolest dudes in the R&B industry and his latest work shows that nothing has changed. His vocals remain smooth as silk and his sound is as fresh as the first time you heard his voice on "Candy Girl". You remember that don't you?

Joints to check for include "Homegirl", a playfully executed ode to his wife and "Sneaky"...you'll see what I mean when you listen to it. Trust me...GO BUY THE CD!! Rizz Wa Faire is EVERYWHERE!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rizz at his best, July 20, 2006
This review is from: Rizz Wa Faire (Audio CD)
Rizzwafaire is very good piece of art and whoever produced this album knew what they were doing. But clearly ralph made a great comeback from the (it's goin down) effort and the song (never noticed) just set the tone for this project i just wish ralph had made an album a few years earlier but better late than never.
As i listen to this album i always notice that ralph on all his albums has never had anyone from new edition sing on any of his songs besides that this a very consistent album i can listen to this album from start to finish. Now my favorite cuts are (save a little love),(my homegirl),(something to give you) and (another shot) and i hope to hear more from rizz in the future and new edition.

The only negative about this album is that although it's very consistent there is just a lack of standout songs and that department should've been handled by my boys jam and lewis.
Now i know this was on an independent label (xzault) but just think if jam and lewis had added about three cuts this would be a perfect album because the rest of the songs on here are tight and this album should've been on the charts more and on the radio.

The reason i say this is beacause i live in dallas and down here i would've never known that this album was even out if it wasn't for the internet but anyway Ralph your still the man and on your next venture please have these producer's on your next work including new edition these are: jam and lewis, r.kelly (if he's not locked up) and xzault media team. That's all you guys need to get back on top. love and peace

5.0 out of 5 stars Ralph's Bitter Sweet Debut, June 5, 2006
This review is from: Rizz Wa Faire (Audio CD)
Ralph's third cd is making very sublte waves and this is one of his best debuts. Let's put it on the table: Many record execs pass over on his flexible tenor. They pass over on his ideal sense of being because they want something harder than usual.
Luther was as silky as ever and they recognized his talent. What the hell is their problem with Ralph? Maybe these mofos need to pull out this gorgeous cd and REALLY listen to him. He's as smooth as a snake but sings as pretty as a lark. I know talent when I hear it. Ralph went to the neo soul sound and it works for him. My Homegirl is my ultimate fave. After the recording, I read that he's a little bitter due to the fact that the music industry will chew you up and spit you out- whether you are a novice or a professional. But maybe through this recording, he's got the last laugh.

Grade: A+++++++++++

4.0 out of 5 stars Ralph's new album is HOT!, May 30, 2006
This review is from: Rizz Wa Faire (Audio CD)
I like Ralph's new album--it is HOT! Loads of funky numbers on the first half, especially Love Hangover, Angel, Jungle Club. But Ralph is wonderful on ballads such as My Homegirl, Never Noticed, and a nice tribute to his wife on Too Cool. Some songs are a little inspired by other music such as Bobby Valentino's album of last year and some of Lil' Jon's party hits. This CD proves that Ralph's still got it two decades later. Took a long time to wait for his third solo album, but it was worth it. The music is sharp from the musicians playing on here and that Ralph produced this effort along with a few others.
