I had heard this album in 1989 at a friends house and never heard it again for many years. It always stuck in my mind however and I finally bought it just this past week.
It is a very soulfull yet energetic sound that I enjoy throroughly. Side note, the playlist online doesn't match what I found on the CD. Track 7 is supposed to be Beautiful Morning, but on my CD it turned out to be Shotgun(Crazy World We Live In). A shame really because Beautiful Morning track is an excellent wake up tune. I am in the hunt for it still. Anyone got it on a CD?

British pop-soul virtuoso Roachford was discovered by the brilliant Terence Trent D'Arby sometime in the mid to late '80s. This decent debut contains the excellent hit "Cuddly Toy," which hit no. 25 on the billboard hot 100 in the year 1989, the album featured only one hit, while the album itself peaked an astonishing high no. 109 on the hot billboard 100 in the same exact year, 1989. Roachford was one of the many black British vocalists working in a hybrid style merging rock, soul, reggae, funk, and pop. He came very near-at-hand on his debut to finding major success with the same audience who fell in love with Seal and Terence Trent D'Arby (white rock fans who like soul).
