Highly recommended for New BizTravelers or Road Warriors!,

I've always had pains of guilt when I would travel to some great place and have room service and maid service..... and leave my family behind. The cover of the book says more to the truth of trying to stay connected to our families than any human resource manual from work. When you take a job that travels... h/r doesn't tell you the effect on your marriage! This book had such great insight to the biz traveler and the effects on their marriage! We BizTravelers think we have it hard while on the road but the family you leave behind is in a hard spot too! This book helps address the biz traveler's concerns as well as the family left behind. I HIGHLY recommend this book to a new biz traveler. This book could save your patience and marriage! The author tells it like it is.

As I read this book, I kept thinking, how does this guy know all this? It's right on the money page after page! I gave 20 copies to friends who travel, and they all loved it!

I am the wife of a United Express Jet Captain. We have four children and I am able to stay home and man the fort while my husband travels. It is a hard lifestyle for a family to stay knit together in. I was looking for some help, advice and encouragement which the book did do in some ways. Actually, the greatest thing it did for me was reconfirm how amazing my husband is! He already implements much of the suggestions in the book. I wish there was a book that specifically addressed a Pilot/Family lifestyle as it is based on "constant" travel and reajusting with no regular work days or schedule. The book is more suited to a business person with a daily office job who travels. I like the Spiritual aspect of the book as there is NO WAY our family could survive intact without the Lord.

Spiritual Context Not Advertised,
By Anna Markison "Matriarch" (The Empire State) - See all my reviews
This review is from: On the Road Again: Travel, Love, and Marriage (Paperback)
I bought this book for my husband, when he took a new job requiring lots of travel. While there is lots of good insight to be had, the book has a strong fundamental Christian bias that was not publisized. My husband is turned off by all things religious, so was taken aback at what he felt was a hidden spiritual agenda behind it. We were disappointed that someone hasn't written a book on this important topic without the religious bias.
