Other of his books were published by Sterling Publishing (U.S.), Spectrum and Elmar (both Netherlands), and BVA-Verlagsanstalt, BLV-Verlag, Falken Verlag, and Ravensburger Verlag (all Germany). He lives in San Francisco, and is still active both riding bicycles and writing on the subject. His latest book, Bicycle Technology, coauthored with Stuart Baird, is a pretty impressive tome comprising 320 pages with 800 illustrations that was published July 2010.

In addition to writing about the subject, he is also active as an expert witness in patent infringement and other cases involving the bicycle and bicycle technology.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good book for riders of all types, July 3, 2000
This review is from: Road Bike Maintenance: Repair and Maintaining the Modern Lightweight Bike (Paperback)
This was an excellent book that helped me a great deal. I was able to fix almost any problem with my bike and now i consider myself a good repair man and have started fixing friends bikes. It included helpful text and pictures. However the reason it was only given a four was because in some of the smaller pieces it didn't give a good enough discription.j
