A fantastic group, get on the bandwagon!,
This review is from: Road to Ellenside [IMPORT] (Audio CD)
They formed in 1992 by a Mexican-Canadian and began as a Celtic Pop outfit. After a while they added other musical elements to the mix. Today they slide effortlessly from Americana Country to Latin Groove to Stax influenced Soul tunes or to a ragin Celtic Stomp.
This latest venture is just about the best so BUY IT!!!!!

Amazing Combination of Styles,
This review is from: Road to Ellenside (Audio CD)
I managed to catch a live show from the paperboys recently, and was struck by the combination of seeming incompatible musical influences. With Celtic roots, the band effortlessly merges folk/pop with a Mexican flair. The music is mostly indescribable, but you can get full versions of some of the tunes on their website, paperboys.com.
The album is well worth the money, and available as MP3 downloads, so you don't even have to wait for it to show up in the mail. But beyond that, if you ever have the chance to see the band live, take it, there's a ton of talent and energy. The band is from Vancouver B.C. but they admit they don't play often in their hometown.
