4.0 out of 5 stars Only For The True Family.............
The "Intro" is funny. ABK gets ganked on a mechanic bill, by his homie Lavel, then they meet at the convenience store to get RyRy and get on the road. It's time to start foolin'! "Feel This Way" starts to get ABK back to his roots. The music has tribal overtones and ABK is lamenting on why he does the things he does. He doesn't want the tour to end, but the message isn't...

2.0 out of 5 stars A Big Krapfest.
Sorry, that title is cheesy. I bought this cd thinking that these songs might be alright, but only two of them are decent. And the DVD doesn't seem to be over 80 minutes to me. More like thirty or forty. HUGE letdown to me. And I buy everything Psychopathic. This shouldn't have been released in my opinion.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy This!, March 22, 2005
This review is from: Road Fools (CD & DVD) (Audio CD)
I have been a diehard Juggalo for many years, I buy pretty much every album and DVD that Psychopathic releases and you know what? I've never regretted getting any of it. Every Psychopathic album I have is in rotation every now and than, and every DVD is fun to watch every now and than too. This however, was a complete waste of time and money. I would go into detail of how bad this is and why I think it sucks but it really isn't worth wasting the time. I don't know how Psychopathic let a half-assed project like this slip through the cracks but some how they did. Unless you feel like you NEED to add this to your collection, do not get it...I promise that you will regret it. Sorry Juggalos, but Psychopathic really messed up on this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars And this is where it all went bad., June 6, 2008

Things were finally looking up for ABK. He stepped out of the wreck that was "Hatchet Warrior," which was carried entirely by the guest appearances, and made "Dirty History." A good album, which he himself was able to carry. He had a thrilling live show, a good rep with the juggalos. A CD/DVD Combo, you say? Sounds smashing, ABK, do it up.

Well, that was sort of the end. Road Fools is everything ABK bad about ABK, thrown on an album with a DVD that's equally as bad. Up for a play-by-play? I'll suffer through.

Intro: Well, what I really needed was 2:45 of ABK and Lavel driving around, picking up their friends. 1/5

Feel This Way: One of two decent tracks on the album. And it's a weak decent. Plus, who opens an album with a mellow, sad song? It's like a watered down "2 Whom This May Concern." 3/5

Way We Roll: Smokers song. And not a great one. A decent chorus, but ABK and Lavel both have completely dull verses. Aside from starting a verse out with "The wheels on the bus go round and round," he ends the same verse with someone telling ABK "Hey, I wanna say what's up. Keep doin' what you're doin'." ABK shouldn't have listened to that guy. 2/5

Up My Sleeve: Does ABK even know what he's rapping about here? Weak verses, weak chorus. Yeeeccch. 1/5

We There Yet: It's annoying when little kids sing it. What made him think it'd be better when a rappin' injun with a lisp and 9 1/2 fingers did it? 1/5

Rage: ABK's proven in the past that he can bring out a hardcore, banging track. Which is what this aims at being, as far as I can tell. Lavel rapping doesn't exactly help. The chorus is about as meh as you can make one, and the ABC rhyming by ABK is laughable, when he actually bothers to rhyme. Verse 2: "Explosions, Self Destruction, This world is going under. All this murder that we do, should be used in self defense. Scream for help, and hope somebody listens, everybody's worried 'cause their loved ones is missin', Could you tell me, why does everybody have a bomb, EXPLOSIONS. Tell me who's the cause of this. Could you tell me, why does everybody have a bomb, EXPLOSIONS!" I don't know. I guess if the point of this track was to fill you with RAGE over how terrible it is, it succeeded. 1/5

All-4-U: Is it just me, or did the non-rappers rapping on this track just outdo ABK and Lavel? A decent enough, if overly simple chorus. And listenable verses. The highlight is actually Luke Shittalkers voice, based solely off how funny it is. The track is also bogged down by another pointless "skit" at the end, during the course of which, Lavel professes his deep love for ABK. Which...might explain some things, actually. 3/5

I'd describe the DVD, but just about everyone on here has made their point on how bad it is. All I'm saying is, there's a scene of ABK crouching in front of a dead bush on his front lawn, and pouring a bottle of water on it. "Thethe are my weed plantth, I'm watering my weed plantth." That sums it up well.

Overall, Juggalos and 'Lettes, this is a release to avoid.

2.0 out of 5 stars Why?, April 13, 2005
This review is from: Road Fools (CD & DVD) (Audio CD)
This CD/DVD release seems to think that having one be really good will make up for the other being really bad. Well, it fails because both don't turn out all that good. Don't get me wrong, I've been a 'lo for a years, but the CD only has one good track (the last one).
The DVD is a little better does have some music videos to a few of his other songs, they're nothing really all that special, and most of it is just film from GOTJ 2004. In between them are these skits that just aren't really anything to pay money for. Save your money, this is something you don't have to buy to stay a die-hard fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Only For The True Family............., March 21, 2010

The "Intro" is funny. ABK gets ganked on a mechanic bill, by his homie Lavel, then they meet at the convenience store to get RyRy and get on the road. It's time to start foolin'! "Feel This Way" starts to get ABK back to his roots. The music has tribal overtones and ABK is lamenting on why he does the things he does. He doesn't want the tour to end, but the message isn't done. "Way We Roll" has ABK & Lavel peeling out in the parking lot. It's about having fun in the streets, on tour, and just wiling out and smoking. Then later, drinking up and just chillin'.

"Up My Sleeve" starts the debate on what to do next. I am assuming that they are high while contemplating this. I see that this song is about the changing times, so there are many twists and turns. "We There Yet?" They are leaving one show, going to another, but don't know what to do in between. All they are thinking about is rocking the mic. "Rage" starts with them having the munchies and screwing groupies. ABK starts to wonder why the world is so messed up and he has lots of penned up anger, especially against fake folks and I can relate to that. (I work with a few of those.) "All 4 U" is the best song on the CD. In the end, it's all for the juggalos. Shaggy has a funny intro, but in the end, no matter how trivial it may be, it is all for juggalos to enjoy. This CD isn't ABK's best, but it is a decent CD to have.

"My Road Fools DVD Review" Well, my overall review, the DVD is mad funny, but stupid as hell. I guess the more incapacitated you are, the funnier it will be. However, I was sober when I watched it and I find it hilarious. ABK grabs some chips and pop and sits back to watch. The commercials are freaking hysterical. Visit Killa's smoke farm to know how to take care of your weed crop, LOL! The Nub's dance party is funny too. Plus the Nub boxing. Then Nub gets into it with Esham for selling him fake PCP....Esham as The FRO is hilarious with that.

There is Gathering of The Juggalos footage of ABK performing at GOTJ 04. He is performing off the Dirty History CD. (I was there incidentally, and it was phat!) Then Shaggy sees blackbirds getting shot, LOL! ABK, promotes hanging at the Regal Beagle. Then, the "Nub" comes back to do a public service announcement. After which, there is more ABK gathering footage. Then Reverend Symble shows a killer ant video. Then a video of Killer R.V. Spider Dan, Big Baby Retard, Tan Vader, Luke ShitTalker, Sherlock Hummz, Duff Paddy, and ABK in battle, which one dies....?

There is People's Court footage. Then, The Nub returns, as Grandma Stick It To Ya, baking Donuts. ABK does the weather. Then ABK & Monoxide perform "Ghetto Neighbor" at GotJ 04. Now, time for "Crime TV" they have found a meth lab, Blaze narrates. Then, ABK's head talks to a chicken tender. There is an A.P.B. for Big Baby Retard and his family. The nub does the news, talking about getting a ticket.

"The 'Hey Y'all" video is bangin. Watching each other in the hood is paramount. Then, more gathering footage of ABK & Madrox perform at the Gathering more. Plus a live performance of "Oh No" & "Ya Neden's Haunted". Ricker, does a cooking show with his special BBQ sauce. Then, Nub does another soap opera called "The Days Of Our Wives" More Peoples' Court footage. Shaggy narrates, a "don't litter" promo spot.

More GOTJ04 footage, of "Gimme A Beat". Another Soap, called "Motown Water", with The FRO (Esham). Nub is back, selling mad sherm. ABK promos his new flashlight. Footage of folks looking at wild animals, real or fake. The "How We Roll" video, has ABK smoking weed and talking to his conscience, very funny. There is funny foreign footage. Ryry shows how to get a free Bahama's trip.

Then the performance of "Charlie Brown" with Violent J at GOTJ 04. Then "Blair Killa Project" Where they find dead animals and old furniture. Next, is the "Party At The Liquor Store" video with Blaze Ya Dead Homie. Going to get liquor and witnessing a robbery, but cool, nonetheless. The there is instore footage and gthering footage, all played to the song, very nostalgic. More GotJ04 footage of ABK and ICP, singing "Gang Related." Then, there is footage, from the "Hey Y'all" video shoot. It was cool to see behind the scenes on that. More Got J 04 of ABK performing "Hatchet Warrior".

There is a promo spot for Atty. Jack Moon ( Strict 9). Then Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Esham & ABk at GOTJ 04 performing "It Doesn't Matter." There is a blunt Store promo and ABK announcing, the best video "To Whom It May Concern". All about the family that will listen, to where he came from and will care, where he's going. This song and video is amazing. All about family love and taking care of each other. There is a video montage of him performing this song.

The DVD ends with the Nub drunk singing about his shirt off. Then, as the credits roll, you see behind the scenes to a montage of "all 4 U" Plus you see the Psychopathic warehouse employees, acting a fool, plus fans waiting for instores. Then, a little after, there is some hidden video of a bum singing. Plus the Nub clubbin', then more Super hero footage and news footage. Plus some dressing room footage. Then, some sporadic footage of a drunk ABK talking nonsense, but funny too. Once you see the National Anthem played, then the epic road Fools ends.

Now, this DVD may seem long winded, but it is very funny. It is definitely worth picking up, but make sure you get the CD and DVD together or you are missing out. It is a great addition to your Psychopathic collection. Woop!! Woop!!! MMFCL Juggalos!!!

I'm a big fan of ABK, I even have his underground releases... But... I surprisingly did not like this CD. The DVD has some cool footage from The Gathering of the Juggalos though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Should have left out the DVD, October 28, 2005

The Road Fools EP is not terrible at all. I actually like Feel This Way, Up My Sleeve, and Way We Roll a lot. Rage and All 4 You are pretty stale but other than that the CD stands up on its own two legs.

The DVD is just a waste. Theres some fresh concert footage, but my experience at Psychopathic ALL STARS Tour was somehow so much better than a look at the gathering. The skits are really bad. Some get a lil giggle, but for the most part its a home video of some friends you barely know laughing at eachother with stupid accents and costumes. It's kind of like that feeling when your watching someone esles video of an inside joke: You get it, but its just not as funny to you.

So, get the CD for some fresh tracks. You'll watch the DVD probably once and then it will go in your CD rack and never be touched again. The release doesn't entirely piss me off because it's ABK on his own. On his previous albums he had a Heavy influence by other Psy artists. I enjoy the rappers more when its a full display of their talent, instead of just another compilation album that we label as a one artist album (Like Green Book, Hatchet Warrior etc).

Bottom Line: Get this album for Feel This Way, Way We Roll, Up My Sleeve, and We There Yet? Don't expect anything more than a couple 'o fresh tracks.

How on earth Psychopathic Records let this crap get out is beyond me. The CD is pretty good at best, although I'm not big on ABK to begin with so my opinion may be a little biased. Don't get me wrong, he is good and his albums are entertaining, but compared to the rest of the Psychopathic artists, I'd have to say he's my least favorite. Although, I'll have to admit, his live performances almost steal the thunder from whoever he's touring with every time I see him. He was awesome at Hallowicked '04 and in GR on the Hell's Pit tour and he just about outdid Twiztid on stop #1 of the Man's Myth tour here in GR just a few days ago. Almost... Anyway, the CD here is worth it for your Psychopathic collection, but the DVD...well that's where the problem is. It clocks in at about 80 minutes, but the 30 minutes or so I tortured my eyes/brain with felt like an eternity. The live performances are cool and the videos are really cool, but the rest is pure crap. I couldn't even watch all of it, it was so bad. ABK was not blessed with the same sense of humor as ICP or even Twiztid. I ended up just fast forwording to the live sets and videos. It was complete garbage other than the live stuff and videos. Only buy this if you can't live with out a Psychopathic CD for your collection (like me). Otherwise, you can pass this one right up and pick up Hatchet Warrior or Dirty History instead.
