"Why Worship Death?" is performed on this recording by Chick Corea and operatic singer Julia Migenes. Few who know Corea's work have ever doubted that he's been the master of the Rhodes piano since his days with Miles Davis, but many have not heard his synthesizer work. Corea and Julia Migenes give a dramatic, bravura performance of L. Ron Hubbard's "Why Worship Death?" tune here, reminiscent of the kind of work Chick did with Gayle Moran on "Mad Hatter" and "Leprechaun". If you can find it, this tune is something for real jazz and fusion fans. Julia's voice soars. Chick's keyboard work is sublime.
