3.0 out of 5 stars Not for frequent Joshua Tree visitors, November 16, 2000
I go to Joshua Tree almost once a month to camp. I bought the book hoping to find some not-so-often taken trails or rock climbs. I hoped for some history of the park and some other interesting tid-bits. It wasn't what I had expected.

However, it can be a great book for someone who is planning their first trip to Joshua Tree. It provides you with a "road guide," telling you the most interesting points to stop at and sites to see. But if you've been to Joshua Tree before, you've probably already seen everything that is in the book.

Again, this is a book for a novice of JT, not a frequent visitor.
