1.0 out of 5 stars Very bad Song Coverage October 12, 2009
Format:Audio CD
I can't believe all the songs that are missing from this album! Ten songs, that's it! Someone in that company needs to get it together and create a sequel or something! I wouldn't buy this the best/hard to find songs are missing! What a disappointment!

4.0 out of 5 stars this soundtrack is about Jeff Healey !!! November 26, 2008
Format:Audio CD
lets be honest when people think about the music for road house they think about jeff healey, the truth is besides blue monday and these arms of mine the rest of these songs weren't displayed much in the film, I would have liked to see most of these tracks taken out(especially the swayze tracks) so it could be completly (or mostly) filled with healey,
they left out great tracks like "on the road again" "white room" and "travelin band". The least they could do is come out with a remastered cd with bonus tracks because these songs deserve to be heard.
also as others have pointed "dont throw stones would be welcomed too"

but overall if you enjoyed the movie you'll enjoy this cd,but dont be suprised if you find yourself skipping over the swayze tracks and wanting more healey !!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great tunes, but where's the rest? May 11, 2000
Format:Audio CD
I love this soundtrack-Jeff Healey really makes it work, but where is the song that the movie opens to? The one that is called "Don't throw stones" I can't find it anywhere and the video is too hard to read about the artist. Why wasn't it included in this great soundtrack?

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful sound track! March 8, 2007
Format:Audio CD
I have always loved this movie, lots and lots of reasons, but mainly because it has really great music! The Jeff Healy band is wonderful, and he does have some really great music out. I had never really heard him before this movie, but am a big fan now! Patrick Swayze also does a couple of songs in this movie, and I never realized before that he sang! This is a favorite, and some of the songs cant be found anywhere else!

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it for the Patrick Swayze songs! February 25, 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This is really cool soundtrack. It features The Jeff Healy Band. In fact, you get 4 JHB songs, "Roadhouse Blues", "I'm Tore Down", "When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky", and "Hoochie Coochie Man". You also get the amazing Otis Redding courtesy of his song "These Arms Of Mine". And let's not forget the Patrick Swayze songs, "Raisng Heaven (In Hell Tonight)" and "Cliff's Edge". The latter of the 2 was co-written by Swayze. Leaves you wishing he'd done a full length album/cd. Over-all it's a great soundtrack. And it's worth the price for the Patrick Swayze songs alone! Peace.

5.0 out of 5 stars ENJOYABLE CD AND MOVIE May 26, 2008
Format:Audio CD
WHEN I FIRST SAW THIS MOVIE,I NOTICED A BLIND MUSICIAN WHO I THOUGHT HAD AN AMAZING TALENT,NOT JUST FOR SINGING,BUT ALSO HIS GUITER WORK WAS AMAZING(not bad considering he was blind as well)I BOUGHT THE SOUNDTRACK MAINLY FOR HIS MUSIC,DON'T GET ME WRONG I ENJOYED THE REST OF THE CD,BUT THIS MOVIE CONVERTED ME TO JEFF HEALEY BEING ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE PERFORMERS,I WENT AND BOUGHT ALL HIS OTHER CD'S AFTER I SAW THIS MOVIE,I ONLY SHOWED A GUY THE MOVIE THE OTHER DAY,SADLY A DAY LATER I FOUND OUT THAT HE HAD PASSED AWAY AT 41 FROM CANCER.IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THIS MOVIE OR ARE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS CD,GET IT.YOU WON'T BE SORRY HE WILL BECOME ONE OF YOUR FAVOURITES TOO

3.0 out of 5 stars Roadhouse July 1, 2010
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The music is very good on the cd. However, not all the songs from the movie are there. And a couple that weren't in the movie are. I was rather disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars 4 stars that could have been 5! March 17, 2005
Format:Audio CD
Being a Jeff Healey fan I just had to pick this album up.

Every song he does on here is just great! I'd have to say

that "When The Night Comes Falling" and "Roadhouse Blues"

are my favorites of the 4 cuts. I'd rank "Hoochie Coochie

Man" as my 3rd favorite. There are other good tracks on

this album such as Bob Segar's cover of Fats Domino's

"Blue Monday" sounds really well. Not as good as Fats,

but there is no shame in that=)

Also, we have Otis Redding a true legend. The Little

Feat song is also pretty good in it's own right. The

reason it doesn't give 5 stars is because Patrick

Swayze shouldn't have songs on here. I was tempted

to give this album 3 stars because of these terrible

songs. But Jeff is just to good and keeps it at 4

stars.

I can't believe how many great songs were left off this CD. The reason for buying it was for the Jeff Healey Band songs and at least half of them are missing. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Good music...
Rare tracks by the Jeff Healey Band. The price was a little high. The CD can be purchased for $5.00 or less in the cutout racks at many music retailers.

Love the CD just missing a couple songs from the movie. Other than that it is worth the cost, enjoy!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
The main songs that were featured in the movies were not on the CD. I thought they were listed on there when I purchased it. Only a few I like.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great film
Great film in the original cd set. The Jeff Healey Band is distinctly featured in this film. Jeff was an amazing star who died WAY too early at age 41. Read more
