4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Choice!
This selection of worship songs of the Messianic Genre is excellent and a great addition to your collection. I found that the music selected was of high calibur and for the person just beginning to study or wonder about Messianic Judaism it is a great source of inspiration and for those who have been involved and Practicing it a lot of familiar name form the messianic...

We are great fans of Messianic Christian music and I bought this album on the reccommendation of the other reviewers and a few sample listenings. We are great fans of Messianic Christian music and I bought this album on the reccommendation of the other reviewers and a few sample listenings. I don't mind how often Messianic songs repeat on the various recordings as I understand that the genre just isn't that big, yet, but I am truly disappointed by the worldliness of this album. The song "Every Tribe" is rap, pure and simple, and it doesn't convey the unique flavor of true middle-eastern music. It sounds like American, afrocentric, in-your-face junk. The song "Wherever you go", sung by Rachel Washington is just awful. The wrong song for the wrong voice-yuck! There are some favorites from other albums we already have (Karen Davis can do no wrong in our eyes!) but, overall, I am disappointed. I would recommend this only to someone who is just getting started in the Messianic music search as it does offer a variety of artists to expose yourself to, but not to those who have several in their collection already--too redundant and too "American" in many respects.

Well, I wish I could say that I loved this CD. HOWEVER, I *WILL* say that it's worth getting for *Wherever You Go* by Rachel Washington, or just download that song alone. I'm not a big fan of most Messianic themed music, even though I myself am a Messianic Jewish believer. I just find the voices on most of these CDs just terrible, too showy & nasal at the same time. Such is the case for this CD. I like one of the songs on this CD, Rachel Washington's beautiful voice is perfect for this song. It is targeted towards American Messianics who do want music in their own language & geared towards different musical tastes. Music is like language, not everything speaks to everybody. I like Israeli music, in Hebrew, but can appreciate different approaches as well, and even prefer them to the terrible voices of people like Paul Wilbur or Joel Chernoff (how the heck they have any kind of following is beyond me.) When I want authentic Israeli music I buy from Israeli music sources most of the time. This majority of the tracks on this CD are the same old same old like you hear on other Messianic CDs, the same nasal voices, the same music, the same blessings, etc... much of the music seems uninspired. I'd suggest downloading one or 2 tracks if the preview clips appeal to you, but don't waste your money on the whole CD.
