I have owned this album since it came out and have purchased copies as gifts. I have to admit that I am a friend of Richard's and have attended virtually every one of his live performances. He is a terrific instrumentalist with a wonderful tone on both alto and soprano saxophones. If there was any justice, Richard would be famous and Kenny G would be poor and unknown. Richard is especially terrific with French pieces, but he performed all Spanish pieces at his last concert. I hope he will put out a CD of those too.

The Road Not Taken is a great example of what classical saxophone should sound like. The pieces are masterfully played, and i would strongly recomend this CD. The last track is a very special treat, and a very satisfying ending to such a masterpiece.
